    They aren't they bad. As Mr Bolam said get some cheapo Amazon ones. They last for ages before needing to be charged and they just connect as soon as you take them out of the case.

    Bluetooth ear buds are the GOAT. What i dont like about the modern phones is the lack of memory cards. I know why do it but it sucks.

    Are you getting a voltage reading from anywhere in the wiring loom? I would check the battery terminals and earth ( I know you have checked that one) are all clean and tight and go from there.

    Im not one bit jealous, not a bit. Its been a long time since ive done a bit of sea fishing, hunting bass rather than catching them seems relevant Its probably been at least 10 years + but I did used to use spiderwire line as its was very thin and extremely strong, good for pulling out of snags.
