  1. Ime it was done by kids earning £1 an hour. I know it's the truth because I did it along with loads of other kids who wanted a bit of extra pocket money. It wasn't fruit picking it was hand weeding, lettuce picking and packing, leak picking washing and packing, etc, etc. I think that I can still smell that onion stench now! These seasonal jobs work well for imported labour because, well, it's seasonal. I guess its difficult to make a full time career out of it for British workers.
  2. They would probably appreciate that. At least they would go out with a bang. Boom, tish.
  3. How wrong was I! Not only does hedge mong know what is going on inside of her head he can justify it too! Do yourselves a favour lads, if you see him struggling to load a sofa into the back of his van at night walk on by, just walk on by.
  4. Ok, a very warped way of looking at it, I'll give you that! Might be worth you checking this out. Psychopathy Test - Am I a Psychopath? PSYCHCENTRAL.COM This quiz is designed to help give you some idea about whether or not you may be a psychopath...
  5. From what the Mrs was reading out this morning it sounded like the management had a fairly good idea of what was going on, or probably what was going on. They ignored the consultants who raised the alarm. I don't think that any of us can ever comprehend what goes on in the minds of these people. The Mrs used to work in a high security psychiatric hospital. Without gong into any detail she had to go through the files of the patients, basically they see an opportunity to rape, kill, harm someone and they just have to do it. That is one type of patient, I can't remember what the clinical description of those is but the other type of patient is the head worker type who manipulate and basically try to destroy the lives of other people mentally. And then there are patients who have both traits. At least she was found out before she became the next Harold Shipman!
  6. This should be a good enough reason to bring back hanging. Nurse Lucy Letby found guilty of murdering seven babies on neonatal unit WWW.GOOGLE.COM The 33-year-old has been convicted of murdering babies while working at the Countess... I hope that they are going to go after the management who turned a blind eye to it all.
  7. I'll have to give that a try as I have a tub of chilli hummus going out of date.
  8. And let that be a stern lesson to all.
  9. I thought that I would revive this extremely popular and interesting thread. Wonders of the moon with dara O Briain. Earth with Chris Packham Both worth a watch imo.
  10. I'm sure I've seen that clip before and that some people were suggesting that it was a monkey.
  11. Whoa, whoa, whoa sweet child of mine, hang on in there for one minute. Government cover ups, DEFRA sounds way too much like DARPA which funds Boston dynamics bigdog program. Bigdog, big cats being spotted, hmm far too much of a coincidence! Was it something like this that you saw? Granted that's an earlier version so itty may have looked a bit more like this.
  12. Now that's a steak! A bottle of this with some chicken kebabs, which looked a bit rank as I defrosted the chicken fillets in the microwave but they tasted ok, homemade humus with chili and flat bread.
  13. Not sure how to rank them tbh, probably all at the bottom, is there any credible evidence for any of them? Ufos are real but it doesn't mean that they are aliens. Aliens I think are very much real but very, very far away so it's sort of irrelevant, unfortunately. Big cats, yetis, you would have thought that someone would have caught a decent bit of video evidence or at least shot one by now.
  14. Bleeding ell, I remember the girls back in high school being bitchy but they have nothing on you. It was a joke, it's fairly obvious that my grammar is a bit crap to say the least. If I was applying for a job or writing a report I would put a bit more effort in but since I'm only posting on a forum, on my phone, using a Swype type of keyboard is not that important imo. Anyway, marrow bone from Morrison's, now that's a good call. I bought some yesterday but tbh whenever I cook them most of the marrow bone just ends up as a puddle of oil in the bottom of the roasting tray. I think this time I might try to cut them with a hacksaw and see if that helps. Yesterday's effort turned it like this I yeeted the tomatoes back into the fridge and swapped them for the black kale which tastes great when fried with a bit of salt and pepper.
  15. Well I've got to give you something. In regards to the aldi steak Morrison's used to sell all of those cuts which were fantastic but like all big supermarkets they have cut right back. It's probably good news for the local butchers though.
  16. I'll be eating and drinking this. The three beers cost more than your create of wine which sucks. I don't think that you can buy a bottle of wine over hear for less than £5.Those are some crazy low prices you have over there! Did I use your correctly?
  17. Tbh when I read your post ferris buellers day off popped into my head.
  18. Fair enough but come on man, that's weak though, very weak and you know it.
  19. Praise the Lord that you corrected my spelling, you spelling bee wizard you. So in regards to the rest of my post?
  20. So what are they trying to deflect as thats a top level trump card they are pulling, if your correct like.
  21. Same here. I would imagine that any alien race capable of interstellar travel could navigate their way around the earth without crashing into a dessert or being videoed by Bob on his nokia 3310 I haven't seen any thing of the hearing going on in the US but it's usually people talking the talk but with zero evidence to back it up. If Donald Trump can't stash a few folders of secret documents without being blown up then I doubt anyone can hide an alien body or an alien space craft for more than about 5 minutes. I must say that I would like to be wrong on all accounts though.
  22. Nothing will change unless they privatise the energy industry and that isn't going to happen. The government don't build schools anymore so there's no chance that they will fund the building of a nuclear power plant.
  23. What about more of a move to nuclear power? It wouldn't hurt to use a bit of British innovation and keep most of the production and the jobs in the UK. To Deliver Clean, Affordable Energy For All - Rolls Royce SMR WWW.ROLLS-ROYCE-SMR.COM Rolls-Royce SMR Ltd have designed a factory built nuclear power plant that will offer... Unless the Chinese have already bought out rolls royce like!
  24. Hmmm. £100 of stuff back in 2022 is now £107.89, I reckon that is total bollocks, more like £130. I guess there is a bit of fudgery going on there.
  25. It was it a figure of speech but I also assumed that they still had job boards up, although it has been 30 years since I last stepped into a job centre so I guess it's all a bit more modern now and the jobs are accessed through computers etc.
