  1. I'm sorry to hear that you missed your calling mate. I'm sure it had everything to do with your massive appendage and nothing to do with asking squadron leader Cecil where do you put the empty stella cans.
  2. Ha, good grief. Of course it's discrimination against the others but it's a positive outcome for the person who got the job, hence the word 'positive'
  3. Shirley there must be a tesla owner amongst us who can give a bit of feedback?
  4. I guess he is too busy saving Gotham City in his battractor mobile. Nice tractor btw.
  5. That doesn't make any sense though. If the state school kids were equally gifted then Shirley they will have achieved the same exam results? Or am I missing something?
  6. Ok. You have a job interview, you did or didn't get the job for the following reasons. 1. You didn't get the job because you're white. Discrimination. 2. You did get the job because you're white. Positive discrimination.
  7. Your opinion on this instance doesn't matter though. Why would your opinion on the definition of something change the definition of said thing? Look up the legal terms of discrimination and then the legal terms of positive discrimination. I'm not having a go at you mate but opinions don't trump facts.
  8. But it is positive discrimination rather than discrimination! Anyway whatever you want to call it it shouldn't happen.
  9. Very WWI like. I've been following it but only through msm because, well, there's no other way to follow it really. I don't really know what to make of it all tbh, it's not like it's the same as one the other God knows how many wars going on around the planet atm.
  10. I dunno how long it takes for a dog to dry off and maybe it didn't go into the water but she did. Who knows but it must be a terrible time for the family, especially the young kids. It would be far more horrendous if she has been abducted.
  11. Well that makes four of us up to now.
  12. It's not far off a year since this all kicked off! Is anyone really following the war anymore or has it just become something going on over there?
  13. My thoughts go out to her family and friends. My thoughts on what happened are that maybe her dog went into the river, or headed that way and she went in or fell in trying to save it. I presume that the police have a better idea of what happened and no doubt use they media to their advantage.
  14. How disappointing! This is 56k dial up download of 'Back door to Sweden' only to find out its a dodgy VHS copy of superman 2.
  15. I always loved his comedy. If he was still alive he would be 105, now that makes me feel very old indeed!
  16. Spot on. Especially with small owner run businesses.
  17. Believe me when I say it takes far more effort to sned out and bundle up brash by the arm full then it is to to grab a few but ends and and haul it out. I can't really offer any decent advice to the op on how to deal with it other than make it crystal clear to the workers about the consequences of their actions. In regards to docking their pay I'm fairly sure you could, as its negligence but I think it comes down to what is written in their contract. It's not s road that many small business would go down mind. It could be a storm in a tea cup when you actually see the damage done. Hopefully! I hope you can sort it out with minimal cost and grievance
  18. I was thinking the same. Poplar, wet, very wet poplar.
  19. Well I doubt anyone can speak from experience.
  20. Worm holes you say? Check out this guy, he knows a thing or two about worm holes. neil degrasse tyson
  21. I'm sorry to hear about your injury. The woodcraft forum used to be impressive too. Some of the tables and chairs where brilliant. I guess the last few years may have seen a down turn in the demand for wood carvings and furniture.
  22. That is a crying shame. I always enjoyed looking at that thread. The craftsmanship was top notch. Do you think they have moved to the likes of instagram?
  23. I'd have to go back and check out dinosaurs roaming the planet. After that I'd check out how caveman lived to see if they really mixed concrete in a pelican to see how factually correct the Flintstones was. Watching how the pyramids and stonehenge being built would be incredible.
  24. No clue yet as I haven't had a chance to open them. Two kids up at 0530 then preparing and cooking a silly about of food for Christmas dinner. I'm guessing that there's a McMurty with a big red bow tied around it with my name on a set of keys sitting on the driveway.
  25. Read Mr Bolams post. It's not always about the money. Or maybe just speak to your postie, you will get far better information than you will get from a bunch of arbs.
