Work experience was part of the curriculum when I was in school, have they stopped that now? It was only two weeks but at least it gave you a taster of work. I did work some of the summer holidays for a couple of years grafting on a farm for a few quid a day. Hard work like but earning your own money to spunk on pepsi and fizzy sweets was ace.

Just because I don't comment on something doesn't mean I didn't see it or don't have an opinion about it. That lad at the airport deserved a kicking for what he did to the cops. Ok, a bit poor to do it while he was tazered but the cop took a good few punches to the back of his head and looked a bit disorientated so imo he can't really be blamed for what he did. It's not like the cop just decided to give him a kick while he was down which is what it looked like in the first video released. The lad was lucky to not have a 9mm hole in him kicking off like that in an airport.

To think that some of those coppers will have been helping to save the lives of those poor little kids and hunt down their attacker only to then get set upon by mindless scum. It might be the larvae of the blue beetle that you said you had earlier in the year. You see loads of these on alders, not sure about birch though. I've eaten it so I can't post a pic but it's cooked pork with lots of lard mixed in. It's really soft and spreadable like butter. It's sort of like a pate but far worse. Probably not something to eat a lot of but it's a nice treat, now and again.

IMO I dont think it matters whos in charge, Putin can more or less do what he wants. Even if he dropped a nuke on London theres no way NATO and the US are going to hit Russia with a volley of nukes.

I didnt think of it like that, but yeah, He could save so many lives and save the US billions of dollars but hes not gonna do it, well just not yet, apparently.

Missed the opening Olympics ceremony but I will be following the Olympics it when I get the chance. I dont think it will ever compare to the 2012 one though
