  1. I'm sure they will fix it. Far too much money invested by quite a few different countries who I bet aren't happy that's it's been attacked. I'm not ruling out that it wasn't the USA or Ukraine or indeed someone else other than Putin, I don't doubt that it is possible but I'm sure that wouldn't go down well at all if they were found out. I think that sabotaging a NATO countries energy supply is seen as an act of war, wether it's in user or not. Who knows and will they ever let us know who really did it. If it was Putin then Shirley NATO will have to take some form of military action?
  2. But It's turned off. They aren't making any money from it but they are from other means and the price of gas has just gone up. Win win there I reckon. Plus the rest of the world has just sht itself causing a bit of panic, another win.
  3. So it doesn't look like it was an internal explosion at all then!
  4. Come on, you've got to put a link up to that bit of news!
  5. I do agree that it is a major bit of news that a gas pipe has been sabotaged and I'm sure that it has a lot of countries worried as fck. But, I just Google breaking news everyday day it has constantly popped up on several news feeds for the last few days. They are reporting it. It will be interesting to see if they actually come out and pin it on Putin though. I guess it was him as he has nothing to loose but has gained a lot from it.
  6. Putin Goes Under the Sea in Tiny Submarine to Visit Shipwreck NYMAG.COM He discovered that it's great down there. Must of got bored looking at ship wrecks.
  7. Just plant some new trees further into your garden and away from the fence line and then keep them at a manageable height so that they can't annoy the neighbours.
  8. Excellent pics, thanks very much all.👍 The dragon fly carving looks different and cool.
  9. Any photos? In particular, any of the wood carving.
  10. I'm not a royalist but I don't think that the British monarchy will ever be the same again. R.I.P.
  11. I think that's why they started climbing them and taking the tops out to reduce/stop shake. Good thread though, I missed it the first time around. 0
  12. It does look like the Ukrainians have Russia on the back foot(in certain areas) but who knows what Putin might have in store.

    Queen

Hopefull her children got there in time but I guess she died some time ago. R.I.P
  14. The OP is probably watching the Clarkson series now and looking at buying a tractor.
  15. I don't doubt that a second. My take on disliking farmers was nothing more than a bit of poor humour, the rest of the story was true unfortunately. Farming is a job that I certainly don't envy, it seems like its a 24/7 job with a lot of graft. As you say I'm sure some parts of the job are really rewarding but I guess there is the scope for things to go seriously wrong fairly quickly, most of the time it being completly beyond their control. I always have respect for the farming lads and lasses.
  16. It's got to be better than the endless series of garbage my Mrs watches on Netflix!
  17. Am I right in saying that the price of electricity produced by solar, wind, hydro nuclear etc increases inline with electricity produced by gas? If so then those energy companies that aren't affected by the gas price increase must be making a fortune.
  18. Having a quick read it says that the majority of Tories are in favour of nationalisation and that labours manifesto back in 2017 estimated the cost at around £56 billion. I presume that that will have increase a fair bit but it still sounds cheaper than £130 billion that Truss might be about to spunk. Anyhow I haven't a clue as to how it all works so I'll just have to pay whatever Big Energy tells me to pay and maybe keep the freezer door closed in the summer. Although I dunno about popping a jumper on to keep warm while watching the Christmas lectures but I might stretch to wearing some undies like.
  19. I'll have a read of those as I've heard talk about nationalisation but wondered how the fook they could do it!
  20. I'll have to watch that clarkson show now it sounds interesting and I don't even like farmers. I remember me and my mates weeding by hand on a farm during the school summer holidays for a few extra dollars, the farmer was a right miserable cnt and tried to get out of paying on the last week. Sadly I heard years later that he stuck a shotgun in his mouth.
  21. I guess that something has been lost in translation. I very much doubt that the tree company told Mrs miggings that watering her flowers caused the cherry tree to grow back. More than likely they may have said, we have put some poison on the stump and make sure you don't wash it off by watering the garden within the next 3/6 hours or so. I may have missed it but when was the tree felled? Those suckers next door look like that they have had a growing season or two. If the neighbours are kicking up a fuss it's the landlords issue not the tenants.
  22. I see that there had been a lot of replies so you may have your answer already (I'm haven't read through it all) The tree can still grow from the existing root system hence why me and few others have suggested that it needs poisoning. Your mum watering her flowers is gong to make fook all difference because one, it rains from time to time in old Blighty and two, the roots will have a well established system of finding water way below ground level. If that was my job I would fell to ground level, poison the stump and if there were any surface roots slash them with a saw and poison them. I would then say to the customer it may still grow back, if it does keep cutting any regrowth and it will eventually die off or give us a call and we will see poison it a second time for free. Just be thankful it's not a white pop.
  23. Now that's a blast from the past!
  24. I would just cover it over with soil and forget about it. Cherrys can sucker, you might get shoots growing from the roots or stump but just keep cutting them down or you could buy some round up to kill it off. The roots won't grow if there isn't any foliage.
