  1. Tell him your knackered because of all the shagging your doing with all the fit bored housewives. It's the best part of the job, well that and the endless supply of money we bring home.

    About time!

Is it not more to do with the UK government allowing Apple to put their money through other channels rather than Ireland having low tax rates? Surely they will just use Luxemburg our some other country.
  3. I think you've been doing a bit too much self medicating. Your on a UK arb forum not an Aussie one. No one employees people who are allergic to bees around here.
  4. So your answer to my first question is? you question dodging question dodger you. Are those splints any good for nettle stings? Personally they don't bother me but I know some lads are proper whimps so they could be an invaluable addition to the first aid kit, well at least it won't go mouldy like a doc leaf does.
  5. Don't you think that you might kill or paralyze him in the process? Which could be highly likely. As for leg splints, the last thing I want is someone pissing about with my broken leg who hasn't got a clue, or a bag of morphine on tap.
  6. Is there no end to this silliness! Maybe let the trained professionals do their job correctly rather than some arb with little training and a van full of stuff have a go?
  7. No not very often. Probably more chance of being squashed by a truck on the way to the job than puncture a lung on a stub. Maybe we should carry a set of 'jaws of life' in the truck instead. We don't need stretchers in the UK so I would give it a miss pushing that one tbh.
  8. Is this a coded message thread for some kind of big takedown? Shiny bob, black op's, night ninjas and flippin pizzas downtown. Big boy, scary light blue, cold Malamute eyes.
  9. So what's the plan, stop the bleeding with a stretcher?
  10. It looks like it must be a harder more dangerous job in the US. Fitter than a navy seal and a stretcher in every truck! Get a different job quick pronto.
  11. I hate to see this happen. Lots of expense for nothing due to poor management. Hopefully they will at least replant and not just remove and forget. I have removed too many street trees due to non existent after care, no watering, stakes and ties left to strangle the tree or extremely expensive iron work restricting growth. More often than not the tree was removed and a patch of tarmac put in it's place.
  12. I would have gotten another sharpen out of it but as it is now ie off the saw, I would chuck it in the bin. As long as the rest of the chain is OK that is.
  13. The award for the most condescending post of the year goes to........ Learn from others mistakes, that way you won't need to make so many of your own. People do stupid things, I know as I'm one of them. So, being reminded of this is never a bad thing.
  14. Dunno, will let you know when I get my eyesight back. (typing this on my braille keyboard)
  15. I would love to take the credit but alas I did steal 'Splatterbonged' from another member although I did consult the member at great lengths to ensure it OK to use the word so its kosher. Im sure he will be delighted . Surely the AA would take measures to ensure that this wouldn't happen by doing some background checks and making sure the people carrying out the all important work were long standing employees of the company? Otherwise I could see it being quite profitable to some individuals to lets say be available to work while under inspection.
  16. Looks like Team GB are doing well. 4 gold medals with a couple of silver and bronze today with a few more (at least silver) guaranteed.
  17. 14" on a decent top handle better than faffing about getting a bigger saw sent up then swapping back for the top handle etc etc.
  18. A total disaster indeed and about as close as you can get to killing someone, that guy in the cap was so very very close to being splatterbonged into the pavement. IMO there is no margin for error if felling a tree like that with those targets, you need to be 100% sure it will go the right way. You can stop all the pedestrians and vehicles you like but you cant stop someone walking out of their front door right into that. No doubt a good video to watch as there are plenty of people out there who think once you have a truck/tractor pulling a tree it will go the right way no matter what, there are, ive worked with them.
  19. On the plus side maybe there will be a vaccination soon as it's affecting the western population. Anyway stop dissing the thread there are far more worse things out there atm. No medals yet, looks like China will do well again.
  20. I meant the opening ceremony sorry. As Mark said there isnt a lot they can do about the Zika virus apart from maybe stop the games which I doubt the athletes want least of all.
  21. You 100% sure on that? As others have said it can spread from leaves, stem etc AFAIK hence the restrictions. I wouldnt bother following it up as I doubt anyone will do anything about it. Lets face it there's loads of knot weed on LA land across the UK, they dont have the resources to control it so I doubt anyone will try to enforce others to sort it out. Unless its a big funded job then someone will find a few million quid from a pot somewhere.
  22. Oh well that soon spiralled into a depressing thread Good luck to all the athletes who dedicate their lives to the sport, still think London 2012 was better though.
  23. Just watching the build up to the opening ceremony and cant help thinking how great the games were in 2012. Im not a big sports fan but the London olympics was something that was absolutely brilliant. Good luck team GB.
  24. Jeeesh, how big are your potatoes!!! I just use one of these
  25. As long as your a registered business doing business stuff in working hours then he hasnt any right to complain. If you arent then tread carefully.
