  1. I would go in at £500 on a guestimateluckydipstabinthedark price. Failing that I might swap it for two ollies and a frog.
  2. Pahhh. We live in great times, there is no where else in time I would rather live than right now. Well, I wouldnt mind living in 50 years time but I doubt that is going to happen:001_smile:
  3. The problem with gluing stuff together is that you then have to break it apart to see if it stuck! I had some of that q bond, strange stuff to use but worked well.
  4. Oh stop complaining. At least he isn't devaluing the industry.
  5. Today was dark and dull and tbh made me think winter ie Christmas was on the way! So bought a scarf and some bits.
  6. That's a brilliant video.
  7. It's rained since October. Last summer was very poor, this one is hot on it's heels.
  8. There is no way on earth I would want to be a cop in America. Tbh they should really command a lot of respect. Some will be nasty bstards and some will make some big mistakes that needs to be accepted.

    Jukebox

I should have done a bit of better research:laugh1: cheers, will have a brows through that thread But for now a few random songs [ame] [/ame] Peatff reminded me of this one [ame] [/ame] Ive just looked at the latest top 20 and didnt recognise one song, the only artist I recognised was Adele, I must be proper old.
  10. Not yet he hasnt but no doubt the scum will try again once the cheque clears:thumbdown: Price of scrap has dropped so there will be loads of this going on atm unfortunately.
  11. So. £150 if your good, as a newbie you wont be very good so less than £50 probably in the real world.

Just an idea from another member. Songs im listening to lately, what are you listening too? [ame= ] [/ame]
  13. What a sad state of affairs. Im sure the neighbour has a TPO specimen tree on their property hence the concern, I bet they bloody well have not.
  14. Unless you know how bad the injury was it doesnt mean anything. People go to A&E because they have a cough so trapping their finger in a wheelie is probably a fairly big ordeal to some. I like the video:laugh1: she didnt miss a beat.
  15. There is no way I would ever entertain doing a tree job without a chipper. So for that reason I knew the rates of the local hire companies, knew enough friendly tree lads that could help us out in a tight fix and eventually had the luxury of a spare machine. Knowing a good mechanic also helps a lot in the first place. Same for the truck except I didnt have a psre one of those:001_smile: If its at a busy period you dont want to piss about so best to plan ahead while you can.
  16. As another member states, work positioning is everything. I dont believe the chances of an accident increase the bigger the saw, more the opposite. It is easy to be careless and haphazard with a lighter machine. Keep both hands on the saw the right way around in the correct orientation, keep the machine to the right of your body and look at what you are doing. That will cut the chance of an injury down by at least 99%
  17. Personally I dont like tattoos so I would discriminate against someone who had them on display against someone who didnt if I was for example looking to employ someone. It does look aggressive to a lot of people and I wouldnt want it putting potential or on going customers off. Tattooist no doubt but well thats the way it is. BTW its not the same as being racist or sexist before someone starts
  18. Right OK, its just that you put it like its some kind of fact not to use while chogging down! Although dont really know why you think it is getting deformed as it always looks fine to me. In answer to the OP its a ZZ for me, a lot let messing about and is always consistent. Although that is probably because im lazy and I cba fiddling around with different knots when using a HC:laugh1:
  19. Where did you read about the last bit as it sounds like fact rather than something you have just made up?
  20. Yep I bet they have a couple of grand cut off point, over XXX they will look into things, that is when most of us are probably screwed. In all honesty though can you blame them? BTW im not defending insurance companies, they are up on my list alongside solicitors.
  21. He he, just been reading this thread, not sure if the original question had been answered so I checked it out. The OP should know the difference, "That's not a knife.....that's a file"
  22. Just pop a flag on top.
  23. A mate has a dewalt one, brilliant bit of kit. Not cheap but he swears by it.
