  1. Don't worry, you haven't upset me. I just couldn't believe anyone would be so stupid as to make a comment like that.
  2. You really are clueless. I don't think anyone will be impressed with your little quip.
  3. What a silly thing to say. So no one can express an opinion without acting upon it? Right then, I'm off to chop the hands of some thieves while you go and round up all the job robbing, wife eating, dog raping immigrants and kick them out of the country. Btw, just saw your last post, very bad taste.
  4. What do you expect them to wear? Sack cloths and bark for shoes! There are tribes in the unknown forest of Congo, never touched by western man who have managed to get hold of man United shirts and reebok classics. Of course they are not just goat herding folk. Some if these foreigners do know how to read and write, and perform brain surgery and run a power station and be the director of a national business and cut trees and drop timber. I would rather help some of these people out than the fast majority of lazy good for nothing's who where born and bred in the UK who do sit on the sofa watching dvds while I go out and earn their keep.
  5. I very much doubt that those people putting their children on those boats are doing it because they think they will get a better life. They are doing it because they are desperate and have no other option. It shows how terrible it must be where they live and how lucky we are to be born in the UK.
  6. Take some pictures of the bar, chain and the crank case where the bar mounts. Otherwise give up.
  7. probably waiting for the tree team to cut a big hole in it first, that or fell it. I jest not. Have you any up to date pics yet showing the health of the tree?
  8. I am not being condescending here but it sounds like either the chain is blunt/badly sharpened, worn bar or the bar chain combo is wrong. If there is oil pumping out a steady stream from the oil channel when the sprocket cover is removed then it's your cutting equipment that's at fault. Failing all that strip the covers down to the oil pump and check for splits in the oil pipe.
  9. Ha, heaven forbid someone should charge more! Are you always the cheapest when you quote for a job so you don't take the piss out of your customer? I bet loads of people have called me a thief because I won't cut their tree down for the lowest price.
  10. I would say blame the dealer rather than an entire company! Having a word with the dealer or stihl might help things.
  11. Gandalf should have given the one ring to one of the lads that works for us and said" Trust this with your life and don't take your eyes of it." Within 5 minutes he would have lost it, never to be seen by man nor beast again. I liked the film's but loved the books, Peter Jackson should have just stuck to the books and not messed about with the story at all.
  12. Why is anyone complaining? Surely they all have beautiful trees like that right next to their house. Sorry but I hate the fact that others can force an issue on someone else when they don't have to deal with the consequences. Think about it, it's highly immoral.
  13. Gang probed by a bunch of bored aliens?
  14. That goes without saying:laugh1: No offense but I think the 3 minute reset doesn't work as I would have had to do the initial setup loads of times. I just use the saws clean them maybe once a week and that's it. No drama trying to start them, no complaints with power or running. My advice is if it doesn't run and start properly take it into your dealer, if they can't sort it take it to Husqvarna. You don't need to mess about, they just work! If not then your doing something wrong or the saw is a dodgy one.
  15. Oops that came out different than what meant to say so sorry about that. It wouldn't just be a hassle it would be a load of shite if you had to use the saws as you explained. Idling doesn't cause the saw problems, my t540 is always ticking over as do probably most top handle saws and the air filter doesn't need a daily clean. What info do you have that the saw resets itself if it's ticking over for more than 3 minutes as that would constantly cause problems .
  16. What a load of shite more like
  17. Being a professional tree surgeon I suggest next time you prune back your trees so you don't piss your neighbours off. Just a thought. Especially when it's been brought up previously
  18. You should keep changing them until they turn into a pair of distel geckos. As for the gaffs, it's easy to cock them up, just sharpen a few times and when you've destroyed then buy a new set of gaffs.
  19. All they need to do is put the price up, we will all still buy the same amounts of milk from the same shop every week. Ive done a bit of research into this so I know the facts. ahem There has never ever been a conversation in the history of conversations (and this dates back to ancient times well over 100 years ago when caveman had to milk dinosaurs!) that contained the words " So where do you do your shopping then? .... I go to XX supermarket because the milk is cheap" Never happened and according to scientist boffins it never will, so Mr asda and Mr tesco stop feeding us full of """" that we need cheap milk and bread or we wont walk into your shop. The day I have to worry about the price of milk is the day I realise I am a lazy git and should get off my arse and do a bit of work.
  20. Fines for dumping the milk! From what I can see then any subsidies are basically going from the government to the supermarkets. It looks like the the farmers are over a barrel, they have no choice but to produce a product that they have to give away. Christ it's milk, I have no idea how much it costs I just buy it when I need it. I wouldn't know or care if the price went up and I guess most of consumers would think the same.
  21. Excuse my ignorance but I just don't have a clue how any of this works! It costs a farmer say £1 to produce x amount of milk supermarkets pay him 80p, they sell it for£1.20 but say it is a loss leader! Are the farmers tied into selling it to the supermarkets at a loss? If so why can't they all get out and start again. Surely a few days stopping milk production might do the trick.
  22. Ddrt only here, should really, really have a go at srt. Come on, is there only 30 odd climbers on AT!
  23. Exactly what I was thinking reading this thread. She probably does more for the less well off than most of the arbtalk members put together In the words of the famous Mike Smash " I do a lodda good work for charidy,I just dont like to talk about it mate" They should have just closed the road off completely for a week to give the spiteful miserable sods something to really whinge about.
  24. 100% yes imo. That's a good bit of Modern art that is. Naturally shaped trees are two a penny and overrated anyway.
  25. They wouldn't have the intelligence to understand.
