  1. And you leave the house to go to work for what?................................ Never dealt with any porn stars but many a fat slag.
  2. 'Edible but not good' maybe best to leave them then. Although 'if' I thought you would be right on to what they are not 'if', have you used the fungi directory above?
  3. Are they the edible ones?
  4. A better idea is to give the saw a good few quick, short high revs and make the ground staff aware of it meaning 'get a coffee on the go, Im on the way down' Well, I assume thats what you want a whistle for! Or just throw little stogs at them.

Wallpaper scraper. the ones with a long handle are good. Sometimes it comes off easier from the top peeling down and sometimes you can rip loads off from the base right the way up, and sometimes it comes off in inch long bits. If its in the fascia board and the board looks old it can fall to bits so be prepared for that ie warn the customer first.
  6. You need a new book! Seriously though surely theres no chance that would constitute a DDD order to fell. Would be interesting though to follow how/if the crack develops and what affect it has any.
  7. I think the duty of care always lies with the owner. I have heard so many tree owners complain about TO decisions and say they will place the blame on the TO if the tree falls, splits, etc etc and kills someone damages property etc. I don't know if it's ever been tried in a court of law though.
  8. 45 quid for a pair of gloves! For that price they had best come with a pair of hands attached to a groundie! I bought a pair of the cutter ones. seem fairly tough and flexible, I have been testing them to the extreme.
  9. Con artists, hate them. I would rather someone came up to me and stole a saw from under my nose than deal with people like that. I hope you get your money and they pay 10 fold, one way or another!
  10. Am I the only one that thinks if the trees have caused the damage then the owner of the trees should be paying for the repair? It will no doubt cost more to repair and strengthen the wall to accommodate the trees than to just repair it after the trees have gone. Why should the owner of the wall have to get involved in all that cost?
  11. Tbh I would be very surprised if just cleaning the tank works. The holes in the filter are fairly big and plenty gets through to the pump hence why I suggest removing and cleaning it and the pipe. Good luck though, hope it works.
  12. Probably blockage in the oil pump (99% certain as it happens often) you will need to remove the clutch/drive sprocket, remove the oil pump and manually move the drive worm in the pup to back the blockage out. Also low the oil feed pipe and filter out and drain the gunk out of the oil tank. I swill some petrol about in the oil tank to break the oil down a bit and getbrid of more sawdust/ wood chip that gets intomthe tank. I did a thread on how to do it but it's died and disappeared somewhere now.
  13. Easily fixed with a helicoil thread repair insert. Your local dealer should be able to repair it or you can buy a DIY kit for around £30-40 iirc. Will repair about 5 threads for that price. Edit:make sure he buys the short inserts if he gets the kit.
  14. I never got all my tickets printed on the card but since it was back in 2000-2001 and no one has asked to see it I dont think ill bother now!
  15. If you are referring to the pic that central posted its not relevant to this thread ie its not the same tree.
  16. Sounds like a typical pricing scenario to me. Have nothing to do with the after sales, just price to do what you do and let them rake in the cash from the timber sales!
  17. Wheres the flag this post button gone.
  18. Can we assume then that if we book a MEWP out for tree work it SHOULD come equipped with a mesh separator? Surely the professional contractor here ie the MEWP operator should know what is required for the job. I would be livid if they turned up and wouldnt carry out the work.
  19. or, use the used sloe's in dark chocolate. Sloe and damson gin is really nice, I always add a cinnamon stick and a teaspoon of almond essence, makes really nice Christmas drink:thumbup1: Info on the chocolates. sloe.biz • View forum - Sloe gin chocolates
  20. HA, ha, I'm way ahead of you there Ive already sent it off to get sharpened at landscapingsuppliesandequipmentforu.com Just dont tell anyone.
  21. Ive never climbed in anything but chainsaw boots. TBH though I couldnt see it improving my climbing enough to warrant not having protective boots, I couldnt be bothered swapping them over. Although I am thinking about just getting some decent steel toe caps next time around. Not to improve my climbing, just because Im a tight git and dont want to spend £150+ on boots.
  22. Hey I'm that dog!!! Dont worry I do the same to but instead of running the farm I do the climbing and dragging. My truck is a skip.
  23. Thieves:thumbdown: Saws are the first thing off the truck and the last thing on. We never leave them unattended, the second you do they are gone, Ive learnt from experience that the scum are everywhere. A lot of the time looking out of the window, next door.
  24. Funnily enough I also aired my views to Stihl by email. I got a call today from the R&D department asking if I could send the chain over (they will pay P&P) as they have had some problems with the steel on a few batches and want to inspect it. Looks like its not my crappy sharpening skills after all.
  25. Dont blame them. If some kid had an accident the parents would be on it like a rash RA or not. Tis the way of the world, best to just let it slide.
