  1. France v Italy.... Wow! Bloody good for the Italians! Marvelous game, right the last minute....
  2. Some years ago, a similar thing happened to a good friend in his Lancia Delta 4x4. Tried to claim but it was thrown out as "if you didn't see it, you were going too fast, "....
  3. A Cat contains platinum, therefore they are worth a load to unscrupulous smelters! Pipe cuttersbor cordless grinders or saws make some vehicles easy targets, especially 4x4 types because of the underbelly ground clearance. One possible way is to have a friendly welder shove some weld or weld strips along your pipe where it be easiest to attach a pipe cutter or get to it with cordless kit.
  4. RBS 6 Nations is on! England against Scotland now! Currently 16-8 to England. Our center half is Billy Twelvetrees whose Dad is a tree surgeon in Sussex!
  5. Correct, always replace a full set, never just the one. That, in theory, means that the general balance if the drum is not compromised. Cheers.
  6. Clutch? Friction plate between two sections held together by bolts with springs? Blimey, I wouldn't have thought greasey slippery stuff was in order! Our PTO shafts have an overrun and a shear bolt lobe, both of which should have a couple of pumps of standard grease, once a week.
  7. Good point Steve, we have all done it! Would the oily residue left on the live cuts do any harm too?
  8. Hi Lee, your comments have a load of truth, I do work for GreenMech, have done now for some 13-14 years. I also ran them when I ran a tree surgery firm prior to selling them for GM. I also appreciate that personal choice is part of the buying process. I'm also aware that your employer has different makes and sizes of machine which you care for. However, my post made no comparisons. I look at machinery of a similar type and think "where has the money gone to in that." Sometimes you can see it in the component quality, build, finish, aftercare etc. Others you cannot. My opinion in this case is that the brand is, and was even back in the 1980s, expensive. They work very well and they look good, but I just cannot see components or build qualiy that justifies the price that they are marketed at. I do the same with a lot of items. Why does Apple cost more than Samsung? Why do burgers from Tesco cost more than those from Aldi? Why are Wrangler jeans so expensive, why do people do Facebook?
  9. Hi Ian, list price on one is is £25450 plus the squeeze! Make you local dealer shed a tear when ask for a quote! Best regards Youf!
  10. Hey Bob! I got a bit of swag for you too! Next time I'm coming by, I'll bring it in. Still got that grumpy Mastiff?
  11. Those shoes Dean, what is the story behind those? Is it a special fetish or golf? Man! But they are bad! Do the ladies work in your office in Newark? If they do, I'll swoop by for a perv!
  12. Thankyou Mr H....is yours going okay?
  13. 1200kgs, yes and yes!
  14. Try talking to the good people at Vermeer to see if you can blag one!

    Jokes???

OLD AGE - WHERE I HAVE AND HAVE NOT BEEN I have been in many places, but I've never been in Cahoots. Apparently, you can't go alone. You have to be in Cahoots with someone. I've also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there. I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have to be driven there. I have made several trips there, thanks to my friends, family and work. I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I'm not too much on physical activity anymore. I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go, and I try not to visit there too often. I've been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm. Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I'm getting older. One of my favorite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the adrenalin flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all the stimuli I can get! But one place I don’t ever want to be is in Continent.
  16. I've got a couple:sneaky2:

    Jokes???

A man called 999 and said "I think my wife is dead". The operator says, "How do you know?" The man says "The sex is the same, but the ironing is piling up."

    Jokes???

    * My son was thrown out of school today for letting a girl in his classgive him a hand-job. I said, "Son, that's 3 schools this year! You'd better stop before you're banned from teaching altogether!
  19. You are doing it wrong!
  20. Transmission lash has some "cluncks" and the noise is audible even above the engine. Fly by wire lag is silent right upto the point of engagement when the clunk advises you. As the man says, get underneath and turn the shafts by hand to look for wear in the diffs, UJ's, transfer case and cog box! Good "used" parts will be dear too!
  21. Hey Mike! It could be easy but add a picture or two to show why it needs adjusting. A TR230? Do you mean TW230? TP230? If it can be adjusted then a mechanism should be fairly obvious and visible. If no such thing exists then perhaps something else needs doing! Good luck, do those pictures!

    Jokes???

My wife suggested I get on of those penis enlargers, so I did.. Her names is Kathy and she is 21 years younger than me!
  23. Welcome to the club! Get your blades from the nearest GreenMech dealer who for you, are, Brown's at Leighton Buzzard. Blades do have to be sharp, so be careful what you feed into it.
  24. Second that! A "mover" can be a trial, as can a stool in flint ground....
  25. Top film! Good on them, well done Torfaen for the PR!
