  1. As the title says. These were taken during the recent factory tour at the GreenMech Factory which was enjoyed by all present.
  2. Good on you all! Very hest wishes for the future!
  3. A "Dad/Son" project. Well done Sir! Hope it goes well for you.
  4. I'll re-phrase.... John purchased this at the Saltex show off of Tony Turner in 1993. Some years later, the engine died, and John parked her up. I would think that that was in the late 1990's. That could be 7 years of hard work before the engine failed. It was discovered in the barn by Alastair Thomson, the GreenMech rep for the north and Scotland after we advertised trying to find the oldest machine.... I'll be the first to admit that, compared to today's offerings, our early machines were "awkward", but, you cannot change history. At the time it was sold, this CM200MT45 was a good machine in a market place where you could buy an Exenco gravity fed machine or a Gibbs' WoodChuck. Or a QuickChip or Premier that was a third as much again to buy but did the same job. Nowadays, there are more importers, more dealers, better components and reduced prices and umpteen different models to choose from. H&SE regs have changed as have transport laws - history cannot. There are 4 makes of woodchipper that originate in England, only 3 "volume" suppliers and of them, only 1 true manufacturer. We are proud of manufacturing and proud to have a history that has involved the end users and evolved with changing market places. Look out for the next Factory Tour, we try to take our salesman's hats off and bang on about building machinery instead.
  5. This is the machine being pulled from the barn. I think that it was parked in 1998/99 and used up-to the point that the engine tried to get rid of some parts! She was still chipping when the engine rejected a con rod in fact!
  6. 10th GreenMech as found.
  7. This is the 10th GreenMech ever made. Dragged out of a barn near Glasgow and sent back to GreenMech for restoration as part of our 20th Anniversary and 50 years of manufacturing on the same site by the Turner family. Erm... finger error - pictures to follow.
  8. GreenMech will have a CM220TMP on the stand of Chandlers Farm Equipment at the Rutland show which is Sunday 2nd June at Burley on the Hill. Chandlers will also have Kubota groundscare equipment and Massey tractors on the stand too.
  9. GreenMech, along with Golf and Turf Machinery, will have a stand at the Yorkshire Game Fair this bank holiday weekend. On the stand will be a CS100, a QuadChip and a SafeTrac 1928. Staff from Golf and Turf will include Chris Barnacle, Allan Gray and Glen Sawyer and Peter Bagguley from GreenMech will be there on the Sunday too.
  10. Thanks for the kind words Roger, we enjoy it too. I'll post some photos of the visit the previous day when I get chance. Their will be more factory tours in the near future too....
  11. Get On Kev! Top job! Hope it takes. Best of luck to you.
  12. This looks more like a GTM or a Tigerspeed.
  13. I should have gotten to your stand at the Newark Show to see this machine but the rain prevented me!
  14. Double click them, keep the file then view.
  15. The 10th GreenMech ever made is to be restored after it was discovered in the barn of the original owner. It is being restored as part of the celebrations of 20 years of GreenMech and 50 years of machinery manufacturing on the same site by the Turner Family. Tony Turner, the Chairman of GreenMech, sold this machine to John Meickle of John Meikle ( Contractors) Ltd from Neilston, near Glasgow back in December 1995. It is still with them although an engine disaster a few years ago meant that it was parked up in the barn where it remained until a phone call revealed that it is still there. It will soon be collected and returned to GreenMech where it will be restored - trying to keep to original spec where possible. Photographs will be uploaded as the work progresses but these are the type of brochures that were available for distribution at that time. img-509121826-0001.pdf img-509121037-0001.pdf
