  1. Morning All, a trip to a good customer in Romford today! Weather looks decent outside too. A mistake in the crossword through me for a bit! Ape, Axe.
  2. Morning Happy Campers! Back home late from Drag Racing and after 4 hours sleep, up and away to take Tom to Heathrow as he is racing his car in America. Today will seem a long day! Not got time to read the Telegraph this morning!

  6. New V6 Ranger turned over 5k miles since Arb Show! Gradually getting used to drivers aids etc but mpg seems to be better than old 3.2!

  12. My family cut pit props in their mill back in the day, thousands of lorry loads through the 50's upto mid 70's but the Elm ran out and more steel shoring was used. The asked us to start cutting again before the strike but the timber was too expensive, transport too dear and labour costs had risen but their rates had barely moved. Half of the Leicestershire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire pits were propped up with Barrowcliff props!
  13. They left most of the engineering kit in the pits I was told, too expensive to get it out for scrap! Nice from were I'm looking, good enough for a walk along Stonebarrow this morning! Queue, Brute.
  14. Morning All. Going to Charmouth to look at the landslips and pickup a few fossils or bits of dinosaur poo then watching the rugby with my parents! Barber, Queued.
  15. Going to get a tea! Going though the factory then finishing early to go south and see the old folks in South Devon later. Missed, Defied.

  21. Had stuff to do up I Inverness and noted that many of the roadside softwoods alongside the top end of the A9 have the lower foliage right brown. As in, they are dying! Have my doubts that they have been affected by saltspray off of the road and it doesn't look like wind chill so curious as to what could cause it? Unfortunately, I didn't have the presence of mind to stop and photograph and it is a bloody dangerous practice too. Any members in the region?
  22. My day started well, I had a pulse! The restaurant is in chaos and my local chap is running late so dayis going downhill pdq! Car needs fuel, washer fluid and adblue too.
  23. Morning All. Once more in to battle! My Telegraph subscription needs some fancying about with puzzles so I'll do that later!
  24. Morning folks. Awake too early on a Sunday, but I get a tea in a mo and use Google to have a search about for a new toy car. After a light breakfast, I'll go for a Sunday drive - Retford to Inverness, at 60mph. Iron, Napper, Cypress.
