  1. It started as a Limited Edition,'Black' back in 2001. An 82 yo boy racer called Brian Huxley stripped it of the original engine/box/axle and fitted a 350hp 5ltr V8 and 3 speed auto mated to a racing back axle that is good for 650hp and went drag racing! He was racing it at a couple of events I went to and I brought it and drove it home from Worcester to the top of Leicestershire. One of the attractions is that it looks so mundane until you notice the wheels, twin exhausts, Huxley Motorsport cage, shift light and then you hear it! Just don't barrel in to corners too fast!
  2. Wished the walls were thicker, sons alarm going off wakes me early! Ban, Tum, Waits.
  3. Swapped the 1948 Austin 16 for a 2001 Focus! Is that a classic? The Focus is rear drive and 5ltr V8 Racing Ford BTW,
  4. Calamity locally. Rain and snow melt caused a lot of flooding. My garage has 2 or 3 inches, loads ruined again..... Roads out of town flooded, fields behind under water etc. Not looked at crossword or papers at all!
  5. Sleep pattern right disturbed! Oak, Lak, Homer.
  6. We had a map on the downstairs loo door as kids, was a laugh to find out the whole family could recite it! Humber, Thames, Dover, Wight, Portland........
  7. White outside. A late night and feeling a little beery! She gone for tea. Enjoy the day off and be save if you driving! Council, Tacks.
  8. Mocked up on a skid/platform for a Type B trolley! Tracked version on road/rail trailer.
  9. Ugh, terrible night's sleep! Dreamt I came across a loose cow on a main road, it had to be driven back up,a slip road, along a major road then into a field up a really muddy drive! Knackered and filthy now! Anyhow, she gone for the tea... Enjoy the snow if you get it! Indie, Pendant.
  10. The 090 had the button, so did the 5 Partner Pioneers that I had! 088 was an adequate oiler I thought.
  11. Morning All. GreenMech truck due an MOT, so a walk back down the town then a walk back up later! Hope it passes! Prophet, Tier.
  12. You are correct Mick. Been sat on the bench for years, did the 090 and sold that just before pandemic but never seem to get time for pottering! That's why I sold the hot rod and got the V8 Focus. I can just get in and drive!
  13. Awake early with sons alarm going off several times - he struggles to get up on first buzz! 1st day back at work but will hit the ground running! Happy New Year all, be safe out there! Tote, Leak, Lips.
  14. I got a 25+ year old 880 on the bench which I'll fit new rubbers, give a right good going over and flog it with a few bars and chains over the next few weeks. I also got the bones of an 039 Farm Boss that needs a set of rings and a plastic cover and that can go too! That's my potter list amongst a service to the Disco 4 and V8 Focus.....plus the decorating, fence and usual jobs!
  15. Happy New Year all int t'parish! Very best wishes to all, hoping 2025 brings you all health, wealth and happiness! I'll have a lie in while she does 12k run after bringing tea up! Iced, Reign.
  16. A little by design but we got nowt on tonight! Watch some tv and in bed as the new year starts! Con, Sir, Tools.
  17. Good Morning Team. Some chores ahead of an afternoon with her parents and sister being here for a late lunch etc. Have to say that we have encountered an excellent pork pie with egg from Morrisons and some great pickles and cheeses! Filler, Dell, Fear.
  18. She does a good Jeremy! Lamb shoulder for summer, plain Sunday roast fare!
  19. Morning Team! In bed, crossword and tea! Head, Wood, Leer.

    Jokes???

Nostalgia ain't what it used to be!
  21. Looks tasty! Doing one on Monday for visitors.
  22. Ooph. Terrible nights sleep - struggled to get comfortable and too hot! Son up at midnight to do podcast with his American racing friends and the his alarm was going off at 5! If I sit to watch rugby this aft, I'll be asleep quite quick! Temper, Hairy.
  23. Sorry, was thinking of the new 135! Yes, 130 and 150 easy to unbolt drawbar and axle and built a stand for it! If it is a top bar machine then the height is less 600mm! The 13o and 15o shared all components less the engines and few bits n bobs!
  24. The height you need, no matter what make, is plus 600mm off of the floor to the lip of the infeed flap. There are plenty of Quadchips about but the 130 is too new to cut up!
  25. Rebellion in the house! Got some Aberdeen Angus thick rump steaks. Flashed the outside then 20mins in the oven. Right or wrong?
