  1. Awake early again - 4 here which is 2 UK Time! Will snooze on the beach later again! Be good y'all! Car, Bow, Hide, Rates.
  2. Dave Cousins - front man from The Strawbs. "You dont get me I'm part of The Union, till the day I die!"
  3. Rudi Guiliani involved in bad car crash. Rear ended after he helped a damsel in distress in a abusive relationship.
  4. Morning Team. Think it will be hot here. Up early again, bloody AC! Be safe this week! Pear, Pup, Hot.
  5. Up late and now up early too! Maybe a nap on the beach later. Enjoy your Sunday! Ham, May, Sing, Graze.
  6. I find Chestnuts to start early and finish early. Round by us, they are already covered in brown leaves and finished now!
  7. Quite start to the day. Slept well for me! Enjoy your Saturday! Undies, Served.
  8. Up and wondering what the day will bring, which beach, which Taverna, which shop for some tomatoes for lunch etc! Decision-making...... Jade, Eve, Ants.
  9. Couple of years back, started my long dormant 090 at home, then to show Jase and Raf at GreenMech then to the buyer the next day. Next day, I couldn't hold knife in that hand! Was a few days before grip returned too. That thing was heavy and powerful - even with eardefenders was noisy too! No wonder my ears sing all the time! Must re-rubber the 880 and move that on too! Anyone know how to decode the number to give it an age? Reckon this was new in 1997 and I worked at GreenMech for 27 years! It cut up a sycamore butt and couple of oak butt since!
  10. Splendid. What a good word, even has a excited ring to it! Nice one.
  11. Slept through. Aided by a fair bit of local Raki! Windy here, will be hunting a spot for her to get laid out without getting sandblasted! Backed, Eerier.
  12. This side of the island has it for us. Especially the stretch from Chora to Plakias. I know that is lazy tourism but a holiday is a choice thing and we come mainly to do not a lot! Awake far too early again. Will go back to sleep again in a mo, kip on the beach too no doubt! Melon, Collie.
  13. Windy here again, maybe sand blasted on the beach! Blew, Wails.
  14. Awake too early, combination of heat, thirst, full bladder and noise of the AC. Was still 27degrees at 23:00! Be good out there. (Hill Street Blues?) Rue, Pert, Bare.
  15. Not in my Crocs i won't. The drive there and back is good, Google Earth doesn't do the terrain justice, even getting down to the bottom of the Gorge is a hike! Will have a meal or two in Chora Skafion though! Really treating myself tonight, got a 1.5ltr plastic bottle of dry red for €3.88!
  16. Made it to Crete, landed at midnight then drove for nearly two hours across the mountains, (checkout the road down from Imbros Gorge). Sea sounds rough - must have been a storm out to sea. Jobs like a bt of shopping then lazying about! Busking, Duck, Tours.
  17. Will's wedding party was a right good affair. In a sheep field, marquee up for food which was excellent home made stuff, 6 bell tents, bales, table and chairs daisy chain lights and decent music! Good company and we came home sober and a tad early. Sweet. Off to Stansted later. Corps, Wrecked. (Read Corps with silent P and S).
  18. V6 or 4 banger?
  19. Morning Team! Couple of jobs around the house then collect her. Off to an evening wedding do for Will and Georgia (will works with Jase at GreenMech), overnight in a hotel then flight out to Crete tomorrow! Be good, be safe! Due, Teak, Awls.
  20. Tried growing tomatoes in hanging baskets. In essence, it worked but the brand is one with a right tough skin which I don't like! Such a shame!
  21. Chicken and bacon pasta bake made with toons! Holiday mode kicking in! 20250821_184021.mp4
  22. I too didn't benefit from a good night's kip! Getting a cup of tea in already! Enjoy the day and work hard and safe! Mars, Cup, Pony.

    Jokes???

Funny how this has got around, I took the original at a little show/village fair some 15 plus years back in Lincolnshire!
  24. Back home today to get stuff sorted for holiday. Toy car to MOT, house to clean, bag to pack, wedding do on Friday evening, blah blah. Sold some stuff on Ebay which needs posting etc. Grey hear and telegraph reckons that storm Erin is coming this direction! Mush, Room, Bargee.
  25. Danny's funeral was hard, I've an emotional streak that surfaces easily! I can be hard nosed and tough at times but tearful at some stuff. His widow and two daughters plus myself and other SIL, met the hearse, had the harrowing view of them touching the coffin etc and really had to think of other stuff to halt me from breaking down. The walk into the church in front of the coffin in front of 250 plus people was tough. His grandson, Joe, read "If" by Rudyard Kipling with great dignity and the graveside thing was heartbreaking too. Wake across the road in the local was good with decent food etc and several pints and a laugh with a few other folk was fun but the day seems empty now!
