  1. I did a power point presentation to explain all the different types of chipper and their pros and cons. A drum is a good way to get a bigger capacity without a wide machine as a disc is over twice the width of the chipper capacity. A disc style machine has a decent amount of centrifugal forces helping to keep it going and can easily produced the puff to blow woodchips and are easy to produce and assembly where a drum may need more assembly/fabrication time and have the need for an extra blow system to blow the chips. The majority of hand fed Chippers are the disc style and yes, the bearings let go eventually, some may consider this as planned obsolescence but by the time they got a rumble on, they have done a few shifts!

FIL has been diagnosed with secondary cancers on his liver, yet to find the source, my Mum has been assessed as having two sorts of dementia and daughter has got some right issues that I cannot even try to comprehend! I've only seen her and her son once this year such is the chasm between us..... Bloody grey outside too. Donkey, Hoe, Tee.

    Have a relative who once had a residency at The Emporium in Coalville. Was it called that in the 1990's onwards?
  10. Got home and it rained! Up early so will no doubt be in bed early! She drove home at midnight and was supposed to be in work for 6 so she will be knackered too! Washing machine will be on for a few times, hope weather good enough to peg stuff out! Parrs, Sirs, Bye.

  18. Hey Dan, tree work goes off all year round, we wish maintenance did too, rather than the FIWF sort of regime!
  19. 6k miles per year. The Disco got used for 4 months while she had a gearbox but otherwise, it ain't t used!

  21. Insurance is a rip off at times. My dragster Ford Focus is cheaper to insure for 6k a year than my Disco4! That's getting sold when I get home, ill use the V8 Focus to go shopping!

  25. Son reports that Bad Apple Racing have completed the Street Weekend 2025 in the borrowed Chevy. One of the way points was the North Lincs Air Musuem, he photographed a cabin from a Canberra and sent the ID to my Dad who flew it once in the mid 60's! Next call was Belvoir Castle then back to Pod last night. A couple of runs today and they completed! Well done all who entered and tried to finish despite various roadside breakdowns!
