My suggestion for 'Name the Gritter' didn't get anywhere!

Morning All, still and quiet out, a lot milder than yesterday! Stay safe y'all! Bat, All, Hacks!

If you do those social media things, TB Racing, Napshack, Drag and Drive, Sick Week, Death Week, Bad Apple Racing are few of things...... His efforts, trials and tribulations have lead to being featured in some of the Racing podcasts etc. He blagged a night out with some top people from American motorsport and associated press, YouTube stars etc the other year and was on a social night, boozing, feeding and indoor cart Racing with Finnegan, Frieburger, Indy racers and drag car racers and he did admin for Morrisons!

Tom went in to retail straight from school, started as weekend help. Working every available hour to buy then tune his 1st car, a Legacy estate with 385 on a dyno! Ended up being able to do every job in the store and many above his pay grade! Worked in other stores that gave him a breadth of experience within retail to know it backwards! But, the hours are long, the shifts relentless, the pay poor and the iniquities of dealing with drop dead staff, the daily battle with shop lifters, chancers and piss poor managerial back up and support! This was his tenth Christmas and New Year with no real time off. He has a load of drag racing to compete in over in the states and that takes money, which doesn't happen in retail, no matter how hard you work! In fact, it seems that the harder you work, the more capable you are, the less the rewards and the more pressure to make the shop do well! The beef was excellent, as was the smashed roast tates, peppercorn sauce out of a packet wasn't bad either!

Tom's last day at Morrisons so a steak supper with smashed garlic tates and salad! I wonder who will do all the silly jobs that were necessary but no one else could be bothered, who will open the shop or shut it down, do the legal stuff beyond his pay grade, tackle the shop lifters and shopping terrorists, be decent to the staff who needed it but strong agin the many divs? Your loss Morrisons....

Missus's family have hens, usually ex battery hens which turn up without feathers etc and can be a bit disturbed until they get their head about things. With two terriers and a GSD about, they don't have much bother with foxes! The one terrier knocks the eggs if she can though! Dang cold and foggy here today! Err, Leap, Herd.

Morning All, not had a good night's sleep, tossing and turning and stuff! Handballing some logs for her kids later and bed early! She gone for the tea and light the fire! Juan, Too, Free.

She did a beef curry tonight, nice after 3 pints in town, a bottle of white was enjoyable too!

Mission accomplished! 3 deep and back home for a decent curry!

Right cold here, done the crossword, she got the tea, still in bed! A few diy jobs but might get a late afternoon beer at The Brewshed in Retford town! Overt, chewer.

About to drive to collect a wrecked chipper for assessment. Hope i don't meet another snowbomb like yesterday! Be good all!

Chicken Karahi!

It started as a Limited Edition,'Black' back in 2001. An 82 yo boy racer called Brian Huxley stripped it of the original engine/box/axle and fitted a 350hp 5ltr V8 and 3 speed auto mated to a racing back axle that is good for 650hp and went drag racing! He was racing it at a couple of events I went to and I brought it and drove it home from Worcester to the top of Leicestershire. One of the attractions is that it looks so mundane until you notice the wheels, twin exhausts, Huxley Motorsport cage, shift light and then you hear it! Just don't barrel in to corners too fast!

Wished the walls were thicker, sons alarm going off wakes me early! Ban, Tum, Waits.

Swapped the 1948 Austin 16 for a 2001 Focus! Is that a classic? The Focus is rear drive and 5ltr V8 Racing Ford BTW,

Calamity locally. Rain and snow melt caused a lot of flooding. My garage has 2 or 3 inches, loads ruined again..... Roads out of town flooded, fields behind under water etc. Not looked at crossword or papers at all!
