I thought that if I had the kind of estate run with a Farm 2000 bail burner type affair, I'd have a branch logger and a load of suitable hessian sacks. They'd be stored until dry enough to burn and would get chucked in the bail burner! Otherwise, the quality of the logs poor and the length wrong for open fires etc.

Had a bit too much Raki last night and feel a tad whoosy today! Wind has dropped so not be sand blasted on the beach but 36 will be hot! Verse, Attila, Tea.

Up early so will have a siesta in the heat of the day! Didn't get a chance to change Sterling for Euros so will have to trek over the island at some point soon! No banks on this side and "local" rates not so good! Otter, Whir.

Got to Crete, drove across the island and it was 36 in the shade! Sat on the frontage looking at the stars etc, bet it is something like 28 still!

Oh, BTW, I'm on holiday from tomorrow for two weeks, no need to cry with jealousy or get the hump! Just got to see my way through today's chaos and buggerance!

On my rounds I've seen more dead Elm than previously, ADB is massive everywhere, Sycamores seem to have Sooty Bark, Poplars are affected similarly and several other species are distressed too! Chestnuts trees are done for the year a tad early too!

I'm not a fish fan but Kedgeree triggered a memory so I made some but the brand/type/strength of turmeric made my lips tingle and the taste went metallic! Been quite suspicious of curries since!
