  1. When was each blow off circuit tested? They could be running out of balance or as a previous post alluded too, one pump might be running stronger and a meter heeds to be used!
  2. Never liked the chap. Gave me the "yew tree" shivers....
  3. I did ask if you fitted two x 1505 units, is that classed as 50hp and 8 cylinders or still 25hp at Tier 5? I'd think that the twinny would whizz along but she would be a wide ass model!
  4. Sub 750 still exists in Europe. Also consider costs, the petrol engined units out a fair bit less than the diesel unit!
  5. I always thought that 310nm was a stretch with fine threaded bolts and no Nyloc!
  6. I use them, always have! We got a gadget that also tests them for correctness too! I've got a handful of different units from a couple of lbft upto serious grunt!
  7. Dear woman watched my angst while the rugby was on and passed me this. 5% and gluten free, with a decent taste!

    Jokes???

Why the f did he try to get out! As you say, Darwin did call it!
  9. Get yourself and the Missus up for weekend away to black Isle! Some epic stands of Elm waiting there!
  10. Elm for me! This was the last of 96 huge Elms we had from one parish! This all went for firewood but most of the others went for pitprops with firewood as the cash crop! 1985. Ringed by Stihl 080 and then axed or used circular saw on site.
  11. The other night I cooked a chicken/bacon/leek/tagliatelle thing with a jam jar of carbon nara on one of lasagne white sauce. No apologies for the use of jar sauces!
  12. I have seen a few rubber ducks with fold out legs as well as axle locks and blades for extra stability!
  13. Forage and his bank woes? He is just a customer.....if the bank don't like him and cancel his account, he shouldn't moan, just get on with life and stop trying to get sympathy for being a racist bigot! Banks cannot judge whether they want his business surely?
  14. I reckon I still got a Polo shirt from that night but wore out the jacket! I reckon nights like that and sawmills/chainsaws/chippers are the reason for my ringing ears!!!
  15. 'Kin jealous of that! Forgot about Robert Plant in some small club in Stourbridge in very early 80's. BTW, a relative of John Henry Bonham is a sound fellow who works at GreenMech! "End of the Road" tour, Status Quo, NEC early 80's.....
  16. Never had to use a belt tension device, Mark 1 Eyeball and V1 Index Finger have proved more than adequate since the early 80's and that was on 30 year old kit too!
  17. My 67 plate has surface rust but nowt to get wriggly about - 220k miles..... I had a Lancia Beta HPE back in the 80's. Epic engineering with twin cam 8v, so right revvy, all discs and McPherson struts so handled and stopped right good but she dissolved by the time she was 8! Could out brake and out charge the TR7 I put a Dolly Sprint engine and box into! 4up agin 2 up too! Nice motors but they rusted in the brochure!
  18. Julian Cullis has his last day today at GreenMech - starting with a new employer in the near future. Julian has had some 13 plus years with GreenMech looking after Sales within the Dealership network in the South of England and covering South Wales directly from his home near Swansea. He previously worked for a GreenMech dealer too. GreenMech wishes to thank for his efforts over the years and wishes him well for the future. I'm sure that those of you who knew or met Julian will also offer the same. He is not a regular watcher/contributor of Arbtalk but I can forward any messages to him if they are sent to me. During a transitional period, his workload will be covered by myself and others. I can be contacted on 07774 282481 or [email protected]. Good luck and Best wishes Julian.
  19. Black Sabbath at Brum Odeon. Boom Town Rats at the same. Whitesnake ditto.....
  20. I got to admit that having had to deal with others "mental illness", those around these poor souls see the signs, hear the words, understand the activities and so on. While I feel some sympathy for his wife and family, hiding behind a "tag" - and I'll include thise close to him, his work colleagues and his employers will have known or seen the symptoms is wrong, morally wrong. They said Schofields actions were "inappropriate", then hide behind a tag to distance themselves in this instance. Perhaps Schofields actions were those of a person "In the wrong right place mentally"?... in which case, he has nothing to answer for? Sure, bipolar conditions are far reaching and not confined to pathways and levels, but this hasn't been helped by the near constant focus from the media and drivel from the press and his erstwhile work colleagues.
  21. Manufacturing is a numbers game, we did okay over the years with twin chuted Eco Combi, but it was getting expensive and then tier 5 engines meant that it was going to go up by another £10k and then sales would really start to dry up! TW decided to drop a load of machines out of their offering because they were sold in fewer numbers than they were comfortable with too. The importers of the Salean decided to drop it because the numbers weren't good either... A previous post summed it up tbh. Chuck your stuff through a chipper and accept that you blade life isn't going to be as good as others due to the odd bit of muck or stone! I did recently see an Eco Combi with very low hours in a dealers yard in Somerset recently.
  22. To be honest, small shredder akin to the TW have gone off the map in this country. They are quite popular in France etc with the makers of Bugnot and Salean but the market in this country died/dried up due to lack of volume sales.
  23. At the time, it had had a service not long before, the driver is a time served HGV mechanic and reported no probs. Then bang! I once was half way through a long trip in a Defender 130 and a sudden, massive vibration stopped us. We removed the back shaft, lobbed it in 4H and carried on!
