  1. It's going well pete, I'm still going to this saw over the other 560.... And it has not seized yet despite its over fuelling read out.
  2. Sorry to hear this ,All the best in recovering as fast as possible.
  3. Can't believe that bench is intact as well ! I've broken every wooden fence I've looked at this week. Dying Oak pollard/mutilation/monolith from wenesday morning . Job spec was cut and leave and don't mind the fences
  4. It's probably my least liked pro saw of all time ,never had a positive experience with using one unless it was by the chipper, I even prefer the 261 over the 260 but it has a big following so most folks can't be wrong
  5. Nice work , pretty sure I saw those dumpy bag pics on the net some were and was wondering how you got them up there!
  6. Good work and nicely put together Sam.
  7. I trust my petzl foot tape
  8. Interesting work, thanks for sharing J
  9. If that's the case your basket filter in the carb will need cleaning I would of thought as well.
  10. What's worse is when they stand over your shoulder with a pair of loppers whilst your chipping giving you nudges every time you put a twig in over 3" waving the loppers in your face and rubbing there hands for potential fire wood ... Even worse if it's there neighbour doing it who's wood hungry and heard you will be there. It still makes me laugh when I hear oooh can I just put this in your mincer??? Always tempted to say no you can't that groundies not here today.
  11. One of the best things He did was tell the story of his wife's father who was a CO at Arnhem , hopefully if he goes he will do more stuff like this, he tells a story well.

    husky 266

Imo none mate , the 266 is a torquey beast make the most of it pulling 3/8 no bother 👍 24" bar on ripping chain would probably be its Max though.. Can you get skip ripping chain??
  13. Fair enough , when I've been asked to fell on estates I've interpreted that has meant leave them safe as well and would do so accordingly.
  14. Totally agree , I would not be happy leaving like that for some one to sort out.
  15. Don't think there's many people who are going to rig just for the sake of it... Easiest and safest option every time 👍
  16. I know stubby I'm just reminding him 👍 he needs to have a design a logo competition, maybe the winner gets a works port job or some thing.
  17. Nice job 👍 glad it was no hassle in the end.
  18. Steve when you get some stickers made up ??
  19. Depends how it's done though joe. If your tag lining it out of the dz like in regs video you only need one guy on the lowering rope the other guy can be cutting it up on sheets so it makes clearing up a breeze and its a lot easier using a big saw on the ground than spikes , I have no bother in setting and moving a block quickly enough not to waste time and once it's on the deck to muck in and help move it, depends on the site, tree or climber.
  20. Same as rich, I'd rather do 5 big bits than 30 small ones... I'd rather just fell the stem altogether !
  21. If you set the pulley with a timber hitch you can slacken it and slide it down. It does not take long at all this way and you might only have to reset the whole rig a few times.
  22. This is a good vid ,shows what most would use. [ame] [/ame]
