  1. If you tied the vt on 8mm and 3-2 I used to find it self tended well with the weight on xtc ,but after been on 11mm it's a heavy rope to haul around especially if your re routing all the time like on a reduction or big dead wood but then the draw back to 11 mm ropes and ddrt is I found wearing gloves was the only way to get grip on the rope.
  2. Aye ... I did think that, then again it would be nice to get the weather here and job you could shed that t shirt tan on.
  3. I knew of a few lads doing stupid prices with jensens , the chippers were stolen to make it worse they used a dealer down south who new they were stolen to get parts to keep the machines going , you can't really compete with that when your running a straight business.
  4. Getting chipper and crane envy some nice gear and work fellas. What's the crack with the elm sticks, is big J's new mill that long ??
  5. If any thing access is SRT's best point even to get an anchor for your zig zag then switch over until your confident enough to go the whole climb SRT, that's how I got to grip with it any way.
  6. Fan of jacks I think the thing with any dogs is have a good look at the parents and make sure they are not bouncing off the wall and uncontrollable. Took a lot of time selecting this girl she was perfect, her parents had great temperaments and excellent hunters , despite her having the perfect death flick she was easy enough to train out of it. My current jack is mad but has good recall , if it's a dog not a bitch I would get them snipped ASAP as all the male terriers I've owned have been a nightmare for chasing bitches in heat and fighting apart from my current one , it also made him obedient over night!
  7. 15?? .......One of my old boss's once wisely put it that he got the biggest jobs he's had off the back of doing some of the smallest so they are all worth quoting for.
  8. Cool , Will look in to it then when I take it in and see if they can do it under warranty ...if they have any one capable of fixing it!
  9. Is the auto tune that poor on the 576 you would recommend converting it to standard saw ?
  10. Can you reset the auto tune at all on the 576? I've tried what usually works with my other 5 series saws leave it cutting flat out for 3-4 mins and it seems to have made the problem worse ! In fact I doubt you could get it too cut one ring in timber ! It starts up and revs but just won't do any thing under load.
  11. 576 has been acting up for last few weeks like it's over fuelling , today it's sluggishness and Incessant stalling really started to get to me so checked the plug and it was black ! Changed plug just to see difference and saw after a few cuts was just bogging down and stalling worse than ever and plug was white!! Now the saw I recon has done around 5 hours and is a few months old the dealer I brought it from has lost all his saw technicians so I would like to go in with some idea of what the problem is and get it fixed ASAP any body else had 576 problems or an idea of what this could be ?
  12. Just dropping it on the strop is enough to bend it... I recon some springs are thinner than others as well.
  13. Is that the new updated spring ??? The design is total crap though I can't believe with the time spent in development they got it so wrong ! it really lets down what other wise would of been a good saw.. I must of gone through 10 or more rear AV springs in the time I've had mine ,luckily not doing any major damage.
  14. Looks like eucalyptus to me..... I'd put a tenner on it
  15. Love to see a trees history, thanks for sharing.

    Saw blades

Interesting ..as I just put a bluntish woodmizer blade on and it was cutting better than the ones I brought last after they had cut a few logs , think I will try the wood mizer blades then.

    Saw blades

Mostly cutting seasoned soft and wet hard at the minute not getting good life out of current blades that are diving and stretching quick as well....
