If it's got the same anti vibes as a 576 it will be so much smoother in the cut than a 372 or ms460.
  2. I've watched this atleast 3 times now it's great !! will be asking that question in difficult times "what would the arborist billy King do?"
  3. Used to pay 150 a month and give them all my timber or conifer
  4. This fella though is pure stupid
  5. The bit where he descends the tree with the saw running very close to his rope made me cringe .. Using a straight through cut that has big potential to barbers chair and go in any direction whilst he's almost under the tree with no lid on made me also but it was in fairness despite a few other bits quite ingenious!!
  6. It was a pure miracle he didn't though mull
  7. I'm speechless... Here is to the arborist billy King anyways 🍻!

    Ms260 and Ms 026

Recently put a spares or repair 260 on eBay it made good money.
  9. Think I'll cover them for chipping any way just for now ,cheers rigger
  10. Could some one post a picture or give me a clue on the correct position of the wiring and solenoids for the rollers ,Sorry for the bad photo! They have been repositioned here but not happy about it knowing how much dust and rubbish will fall directly on them from the gaps in the rollers. Cheers, Mat.
  11. Its been said to never bring politics or religion in to the conversation when in a room full of people you don't know .... Never mind.
  12. I can't believe it's done fly wheel bearings at 200 hours ! Is that under warranty as well? Are you chipping loads of bailing twine and Sheeps wool covered branches ? Not taking the piss but I know around us it's something you have to watch out for and will kill bearings.
  13. Agree with all those points and I also believe most of it never leaves the country.... Bobs big bandit chipper that got stolen last week only showed back up again because it's not a timber wolf.
  14. Looks incredible J
  15. It's not really justifiable or rational but having your life wrecked repeatedly by thefts and attempted thefts and the police not really giving a toss .. I don't feel there's much of an option. Have you ever been repeatedly targeted by thieves TCD ?
  16. If you were desperate and came to me I would try and help you out best I could and I believe most would , you come to me and rob me I'll shoot you ,in fact blaming other people for your short comings instead of getting off your arse and doing some thing to help your family it's sounds like they basically need shooting any way , since my time in tree work I've had 3 chippers stolen and about 30ks worth of climbing kit and saws I've had enough next time there will be deaths.
  17. I would do it right now unless it's starting to swell it's buds already or try and time it before its second flush in the summer... Which virtually may prove to be impossible to time but don't prune if there is a drought! . 2 meters sounds a very sensible spec for that tree, and as Sean says don't damage or try and thin the crown in any way.
  18. Spot on John, sums it up for me. I've had more money's worth of gear stolen under labour so see no pattern in which governments in power at all.
  19. Vespasian I have never taken or demanded a fee , if they are good horticulturalist know there job or a good hard landscaper I recommend them , I gave away enough work to probably keep three guys on full time and found the doors open both ways , if people are good they are always busy. If I see you in the pub I would buy you a drink and so would they ... I would rather be an expert in a Feild i know than a jack of all master of none.maybe I'm a fool for not giving it a try but I would rather pride myself in doing what I know well and keeping the customer happy by sharing the services of others that do too.
  20. Side by side my first impression is of disappointment , the dmm is narrower by an just under an inch , I have been limited by the epple as on occasions as it's not been wide enough when I've dropped through to get in to a neighbouring tree and the only target presentable has been a wide branch. Will give it a climb tomorrow and see what it throws and retrieves like.
  21. Exactly ... To be fair you are going to meet a lot more people and work in a lot more gardens ... It's in there interest to help you , so on that I would not give them a penny.
  22. Agree... Although that would be too good for them.
  23. Crazy ..... That is one gnarly rose though, I would not of touched it with out a gypsy stick and some Ali rods with hook.
  24. Did you SRT the hell out of Steve?
