  2. The only one of relevance to swans I have named, what is it you want? Second question, Davy is the one next to me. This is around 70 of the ships company at our 40th anniversary LTBAD at the ship anson in Portsmouth, I'm behind the camera somewhere. One more time, what's your point?
  3. Thank you. Appreciate what you say about touching, these are obviously suboptimal. Not planning on storing that long though so not expecting it to be too much of an issue, we'll eat them pretty quickly. Plus they'll be in a shed that I go in most days so will be checked frequently. The windfalls and heavily blemished ones I brought inside to be consumed straight away. If I can be bothered I might try a little experiment - rearrange them to have one crate stalk up and one crate stalk down.
  4. Not sure what you are talking about there Joe.. this is an arb forum..
  5. That does look fairly short. Here’s mine for comparison. Foot pedals for grab and rotate would put me off.

  8. It is all OEM. You can get a decent bit out of these 350 saws, they are light, have decent AV and can come alive with a bit of work. The comment about 346s screaming but no grunt...been out with mine today and it goes like a train on N20. I don't agree on the 357...OK, mine isn't very standard, is almost impossible to pull over with the decomp being used and it flies but each to his own, personally, most 3 series Husqvarnas are pretty special.
  9. you need a scouser for it, cos they do dough, dont they, dough?
  10. A D1, just a bit older than I, was mine. First on the road Enfield 250, then a mistaken upgrade to AJS 600, luckily stolen then Bantam d14/4 for my commute to my first forestry job.
  11. They must be loving the wet then warm weather that we've had this week. Fungi heaven.
  12. number 1s an accident waiting to happen - no ppe, face in the kickback zone. who is teaching these people?
  13. Love it Stephen !
  14. I recommend getting an Imax B8, B6 or the various off brand clones (of a chinese item). This is intended for RC lithium charging but it will also do a very good job of lead acid, telling you exactly how much charge has done in, how much was in it with a discharge test. Generally Pb batteries are over rated abot 4x becuase of the way they degrade, this makes them last about 10x longer than if a smaller battery was specified. I generally say if measures at 50% capacity its time to be aware of future problems. At 25-40% you can expect problems if you leave lights on or dont give it ample chance to recharge. Below 20% you should expect problems, keep a jump starter with you and consider replacing. However theres little point replacing one if it will be used once, left to discharge for three years and then need replacing again.
  15. I think that would be fair, although you'd probably want the timber too to make it pay for you.
  16. That means a lot of people need to be paid off as threats against lots of people wouldn't work and even then its a lot of people and money and not everyone will comply, and they could leave testimonials that would be released after their death implicating those above and below them.

  19. Morning all, Changing main drive belt on Jensen chipper. One of those with 4 belts bonded together. Was a pig to remove yesterday. I’m fitting 4 singles hoping that will be easier. Then got to drill out the seized bolts I had to chisel off to get lower cover off to get proper access. Still, rather do this under cover than have the old belt fail on site!
  20. The machining marks which go around the piston are completely worn away, so yes I'd say that is pretty worn and new piston needed. You can probably clean up and reuse the cylinder, definitely worth a go. Possibly also look for a Meteor piston , makes the experiment cheaper and they work pretty well.
