  8. 2013, happy, innocent times..😌 What are we wearing these days? I just bought a batch of the latest Lidl Parkside work pants, polyester stretch fabric, cordura knees with pad slots, sturdy belt loops, comfey and fast drying for €15, bloody great value. Bought a "cheap" softshell jacket from a hardware store for €35 recently, decent light rain protection, very breathable. Found a €55 work boot I like in a local shop, bought a second pair for rotation. No goretex but good water resistance, no sweating, no chafing, great insoles. The quality of cheap work wear seems to be really good at present.
  9. Don't be so sure about that, the one in my shed is a 2000 model and owner had it from new, it now has 128k on the clock and last year went for a special MOT that proved even with carbs its emissions are below the level necessary for ULEZ and now has the paperwork to prove it. He recently siffered a heart attack so I begin to wonder if he will ride again. I found it a bit buzzy and lacking low down torque compared with my MT07, too much gear changing even though 25% more powerful. I inherited a 2012 CBR250R from my brother, it is my shopping bike and I do less than 1k miles a year with it, nice and light and good fun, makes my wrists ache below 50MPH.
  10. Last 4 days pruning 6 Holm oaks and a Oak which is in decline do to being struck by lightning many years ago. Holm Oak had 4 years of growth just used loppers in the end to do most as quicker then saw, but killed arms. Loader made single track road clearing easy. Wind was a major problem blowing about 45km/h.
  11. Generally you are responsible for your side and shouod maintain it, and in most cases a fence will mark the boundry, after 12 years it can be claimed as the boundry. Where as if its just a fence, usually each homeowner will be responsible for one side, which on ours is the left, when looking out the front, cant remember if theres a standard for that or not. Our neighbour had two large leylandii on each corner of garden. They eventually had one removed our side (before I started tree work) but left the other side. When it was time for the fence, they had the contractors be lazy and put the fence inside of the tree, gifting a couple square meters to the other neighbour. The leylandii is twice the hieght of house and damaged by a council birch, I will see if I can get the job of topping it down to a sensible height some day.
  12. Thought I’d follow up - unfortunately had to pull out of the deal due to complete lack of communication. Upon telling the dealership I had no real communication, no trying to save the deal….just a sorry please don’t hold this against us as a dealer (what!?!). After pulling out i followed up and asked what is wrong with the digger, turns out there is a fault in the wiring harness and Mecalac are making a new one (no explanation of timeframes). If anyone knows of an 8MCR or tab boom excavator around 8/9t I’d be interested, feel free to dm me.
  13. Does anyone have a Sherpa agri or small for sale ? feel free to contact if you do, thanks [email protected]
  14. So they can get double bubble by charging you for more people sitting in deckchairs. Who are also paying for the privilege of sitting in the deckchairs under the guise of ‘training’ so that they can join the gravy train.

    Lidl 53cc saw

Yes nothing wrong with the AV on the Lidl or ony two clones - 2511 or 372xp. One interesting fact is that battery saws dont appear to have or need AV - I assumed some of the vibration came from the cutting action but it appears it is all from the engine, so they dont need it.

  18. It's the turn of the leaf cutters now. Mason Bees finished weeks ago, but I still see a few hanging around. Hyper-locally sourced materials only used in nest construction, lazy buggers! Also, someone has got confused and used a pink "leaf".
  19. Not that it affects me, uk wide?
  20. Hey ho, silverback. Must dash and apply my pubescent frame to an axe.
  21. Insurers all are. Arb insurance is just insurance with tree packaging. I’m viewing a smallholding later, marketed by an estate agent firm comprised entirely of gilets. Same thing. Phone shop staff with labradors.
