  2. Dont waste £20 on the new Jurassic park movie is my bit of news for the day. Internet AI must have sucked all the special effects out of the movie industry as my kids dinosaur sticker book is more true to life. On the plus side I only bought it off Sky, I didnt spend the best part of 100 squid taking them to the pictures.
  3. Jasmine Crockett. Maybe she'll be the woman that the Democrats hoped that Kamala Harris would be. Look her up.
  4. Too thick for what? My 020T, 2511 and G372XP gobbled 20 litres of Rotatech with no issue. What saw were you using? Might be due some maintence or you have the oiler turned right down to minimum? The £34, 20 litre listing I shared on the previous page, they have several different viscosities to choose from.

    Topped tree

Hi there, I have a Lime tree that was topped maybe 20 or so years ago. My question is can it be thinned out, leaving most of the tree there or should it be cut back to the knuckle? Thanks, G

Is the 2500 really comparable to the 2511, like the waffle says? Usable for medium removals?
  11. was chatting with a surveyor employed by Gristwood and Toms, he used to climb for them, now they put him up in Travelodges and various councils have them in to go round looking at their trees. G&T often arent the cutting contractors for these councils, but they provide knowledgeable bods. Didnt ask him what training G&T gave him, probably PTI course at least.
  12. Possibly Phaeolus schweinitzii, mostly found on softwoods but can affect hardwoods
  13. I chip any slabs that are 8" or less, stack the larger ones with a 2" sticker between layers and process after 6 months into firewood for myself and also for a local mobile sauna company (they want small length, and anything from kindling size to decent log size) If using a processor there will be a huge variation in size. For my own fire I process without the knife and if there's anything too chunky it gets a tap with the axe when filling a basket for the house from the woodshed. Only mill larch, Cedar and Douglas at the mill and it all burns well in a 12kw stove

  15. Thanks for your help ! I'll get an Oregon 124mlea041 bar and a 3/4" .043 chain, apparently compatible with 2511 tes.

Pezzolato PTH 700 biomass wood chipper PTH 700 is one of the medium power Pezzolato machines. The design of the conical hopper (without bottlenecks that tend to trap the material), combined with a catenary system able to move the material directly to the drum, allows feeding of bulk material. The large fan mounted directly on the drum shaft is able to work at a low speed to help reduce dust and increase wood chip quality. Each standard installation includes a single axis trailer which provides compactness and increases agility and manoeuvrability in tight spaces. The wear parts of all machines are cost effective and simple to replace in short maintenance times. The drum with cutting system interchangeable where required, makes these chippers ideal for the production of wood chips used with domestic boilers, large power plants or gasifiers. The integrated computer suggests any ordinary and extraordinary maintenance operations to be performed according to the manufacturer’s maintenance. Diesel engine power: 200/149 - 413/308hp/kW Max chipping diameter soft wood: 500mm / 19.69'' Max chipping diameter hard wood: 640 x 600mm / 25.20 x 23.62'' Knives: 3 Hourly throughput: until 80m³/h Drum diameter: 660mm / 25.98'' Drum width: 640 mm / 25.20'' Hooked steel feeding conveyor width: 640mm / 25.20'' Hooked steel feeding conveyor length: 2200mm / 7' 2.61'' Weight: 8,200kg / 18,078lbs

  20. Alright all. I'm pretty new to carving, over the past few years I've done a handful of pieces mainly just because I like doing it. I've never really tried to sell my work but I would like to start. I've not invested loads of money in it, still just playing with a stock bar and die grinder with a couple of different burrs but it'd be nice to recover some of my fuel costs if poss. My question is, those of you who do sell your work, how and where do you do it? Is it better to carve up things in advance on the hope people might buy them or do you mainly get commissions? I've stuck on some photos to give you an idea of where I'm at with it. Thanks in advance. WhatsApp Vidéo 2025-09-01 à 13.29.23_6efc7c2a.mp4

  21. How are you all getting these slabs to dry flat? I don't even bother slabbing now because anything that has the pith in turns into an Escher painting after a few months on the stack.
  22. Hi Dan It does make a difference, that's why we asked. We are trying to only post on a Friday, with whatever we are promoting on our socials and emails. I do notice that when we update the classifieds, they all pop up in the unread posts. As these run out after 2 weeks, I've started to try to spread them out so it's not too much at once. I can't control this as it's an Arbtalk thing. Pricing-wise, we should always be cheaper as we are only there to move on end-of-line products or out-of-packaging products. We will have a think and discussion on how to be more engaging in our content - any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you for your feedback, it is valuable to us as it should be for any business.
  23. I would think the oil bath air filter would be a no no due to you needing to use the grinder on slopes etc. Have a look at the Chinese Honda copies for a replacement (Lifan etc). About half the price, electric start versions available. Obviously check crankshaft length/diameter before ordering. The foam sleeve that goes over the paper air filter element is an important part of the set up if working in dusty environment. It needs to be dipped in clean oil and squeezed out at regular intervals after washing out in petrol to catch any dust etc. before reaching the paper filter.
