  2. In the nicest possible way, why on earth not midline? If you’re going to do something new, it should do what existing things can do and then more, not less.
  3. Don’t drink Mark and still at work Bonny lad, you guys confuse blagger bating with something else it would seem. Don’t need a drink to chill here I assure you.
  4. Not sure this quite counts as tree work, late birthday present from the lad
  5. We have just put these 2 boots on with most sizes, but very limited availability. Both of these are end of line for this colour in the UK, so once they are gone they are gone. https://www.arbsurplus.com/chainsaw-boots

  7. reuters.com WWW.REUTERS.COM "In surprise victory, UK's Labour wins Scottish by-election after racism row" It seems that the weedgies aren't buying what Reform is selling.
  8. The are below or in line with the raker when the chains travelling straight, but stick out when it's going round the bar nose. Idea is to reduce chance of kickback, problem is you need the bottom half of the nose to cut for cutting with a buried bar. Or any slightly creative cut in between branches etc. If you take a Stihl 1/4 pitch chain it has bumpers but not high, these Oregon ones are just terrible.

  11. Agreed with the above but generally when it comes to drying there is no fixed time it takes. Longer unsplit rounds take longer (most of the drying occurs through the end grain if not split). Shorter, split wood is quicker to dry. Then you have the wood type on top of that. I have a chunk of willow on the wood pile from last year ~3' long and 8" round that is still growing!!! and yes I really need to get it split ASAP but thought it would have stopped long ago...
  12. There are a few home firewood users on here (me included) but most people on here are pros so unlikely to get any bites on here for it. Maybe the tip site if worth a look though?
  13. These days it'll be on a computer screen, the charge is for hard copy. Granted, you try speaking in person to someone in the planning department without taking up whistling in the wind, they rarely answer the phone

Price £6250.00 PLUS VAT @20% Optional PTO drive or 400V power supply. This is a 2018 machine that we have owned since new. It is in very good working order and has been well maintained. Transport can be arranged. Accepts 25cm max round diameter, 20cm x 20cm square, 5T splitting force, tight or loose bag, log edge width 1cm-18cm, log length 12-20cm. Each splitting cycle is approx. 3 seconds. The automatic AutoSplit 250 Kindling Firewood Log Machine processes round or squared timber (softwood) into fine kindling or firewood logs, requiring only one simple alteration to the throughput speed to the machine to alter the width of the finished product. The infeed speed can be adjusted to split logs between 1-18cm wide. The robust V-shaped splitting knife provides 5t of splitting power, and works automatically once on, to repeatedly split at regular intervals. The infeed timber supply chute ensures an optimum and continuous work flow, simply load rounds into this gravity feed chute which feed themselfs down and onto the powered infeed conveyor. This system allows one user to stock the infeed, then proceed over to begin bagging. The process of splitting can be stopped at any moment with one lever. This allows the infeed to be restocked when required. This Kindling Firewood Log Machine comes fitted with 2 outfeed options as standard, this allows the operator to choose between tight packing of net bags or loose packing.
