  2. As for canopy backs I have one on mine. Can’t remember the brand but they are pretty popular. As for water tightness. The only time I have had any significant ingress of moisture is in the motor way in torrential rain as your rear or parked up in similar circumstance. The two vertical gaps either side of the tail gate let the water in. BTW. The picture is chipping into the scrub. Also to note FTR. There is a lot less tool crime here in Norway. So not a worry so far in that regard. Locks work well though.

  7. It's a couple of feet up. You could be right about one being engulfed by the other.

  9. Morning all, Should be dry here. Cedar dismantle today. Young lad climbing, Awkward exit from rear garden, timber stays on site. Two dragging, I’m on ropes. Be safe.
  10. That's frustrating! I Have been told green flag is the way to go for cover, the Uber driver that took my wife home said he does loads of RAC and AA jobs and said this sort of stuff is common place.

Not one, despite being in Exmoor national park. Luckily predominantly hazel on this stretch, but then have bramble and Blackthorn on the next one.

  13. Nice to see a post like this pop up for a change. Good aftersales support makes a massive difference when machines are earning their keep every day. Quick turnaround, clear communication, and no messing about is exactly what you want when something goes wrong. Stories like this are why some brands keep loyal customers for years.
  14. Swap injectors like when you're diagnosing a dead coil.
  15. An estate I know of tried to weigh a big Fendt and triple axle spreader to check that they weren't being done and failed as their weighbridge was only rated to fifty tonnes 🤭😅
  16. Not sure if I have mentioned this set before. I have only used it a handful of times, it didn't cost more than £25 but it has made some very tricky jobs sooooo much easier. It is basically for removing any bearing that has disintegrated especially ones in blind holes. Although it was cheap, it has been stonking. The latest one was removing a disintegrated wheel bearing from the Mother in Laws walker. You insert the appropriate die inside the outer bearing race, do up the top to expand it tight then use the appropriate puller to pull the offending item out.
  17. A man came home from work one day to find his wife sitting on the front porch with her bags packed. He asked her where she was going. She replied: “I’m going to Las Vegas”. He questioned her as to why. “I just found out that I can make £500 a night doing what I give you for free”. He pondered that then went into the house and packed his bags and returned to the porch. “And just where do you think you’re going?” “I’m going with you!” he replied. “Why?” she asked. “I want to see how you are going to live on £1,000 a year!”
  18. I always start with a job sheet. I list everything pertaining to that particular job from address, grid reference, what three words, equipment etc, id of ambulance rv and Heli LS, nearest A & E hospital, minor injury. Job itself. Saws and equipment etc, you get my drift, I could go on but wont bore you? I have a standard pre printed headings list. For the method statement I extract info from job sheet. For Risk Assessment I extract info from method statement. Lots of repetition all the way through?
  19. Removing a rotten ash ivy covered stem that had fallen across. Then ladder up a chesnut that had already been stripped and peice down the stem. Havent been using my spikes much so took me a while to get used to it on the learning stem. Boss called a nice early finish 1pm so went to get some lunch, everything soaked. Tomorrow might be dry so ropes can dry out then.

  21. Not a 2.7 tonner but should make a nice compact arb machine. https://www.earthmoversmagazine.co.uk/digger-man/view,eurocomach-reaching-out_5218.htm#:~:text=Competing in the 1.5 to,peeled over the coming weeks.
  22. For locking while you're on the road, you should look for a coupler latch lock. It’s basically a small padlock with a long pin that goes through the handle on the hitch. This keeps the latch from popping open while you're driving and makes it harder for someone to unhitch the chipper if you stop at a shop. You can also get a locking hitch pin to make sure no one takes the whole ball mount off your vehicle.

This is a lightly used IROSS firewood saw/Processor in fantastic condition. Model IROSS MX470CD NT. Bought as an ex-demo in 2017 and I used it only a handful of times before I packed in my firewood business. It has since been dry stored in a barn. There is some very light surface rust here and there (only visible on close inspection) but I can get pics on request. Aside from this it's literally like new. Will run off a compact tractor, I used it on the back of a 26hp Kubota (its a bit on the heavy side for it but will just move it). Otherwise the jack legs could be replaced for castors to save them digging into the ground and take some of the weight. The blade is in perfect condition, cuts like butter it really is a fantastic machine and produces nice clean logs. The 4m belt is height/angle adjustable and can be fed straight into an IBC or trailer etc which saves a lot of time and double handling etc. Please get in touch any questions, collection ideally but could possibly deliver within the northwest for a fee. 24. Wow, some really outstanding (and fairly disabling!?) northern brewing contributions, there from Peter1955 Thanks for sharing ! I'm just thinking maybe a little brewery tour is needed ( using bikes and van perhaps ), to check these specialties out ? -Maybe when the weather is a bit less wintery tho!
  25. Good luck. Hopefully, someone in your area reads your cv and can take you on
  26. The MSA 220.1 T offers an outstanding performance to professionals carrying our tree removal and crown maintenance tasks. Now, boasting a lighter weight and increased torque for improved productivity. Providing 10% more torque compared to its predecessor, the MSA 220.0 T, the updated design can now be used with STIHL’s AP 200 S battery, which is compatible with the MSA 220.1 T’s new ‘Power Boost’ feature. This allows the model to temporarily draw on the battery’s peak electrical output of 1.8kW, while offering a standard output of 1.25 kW. The saw’s compatibility with the AP 200 S also delivers an improved user experience by lightening the machine’s overall weight, reducing user fatigue. Further comfort is granted by the MSA 220.1 T’s 2-in-1 strop adaptor, which also contributes to a lighter weight. For ease-of-use, ergonomic transportation on climbing harnesses is enabled, thanks to the saw’s comfort ring, allowing for simple attachment to a carabiner clip. Just like the MSA 220.0, the MSA 220.1 T delivers 2.1kW of electrical power with STIHL’s AP 300 S battery, providing up to 29 minutes of working time. For longer use requirements, the AP 500 S can also be used. Also contributing to an improved user experience, the new saw provides a longer active time upon the pressing of its ergonomic trigger system. The new and improved model comes equipped with an adjustable oil pump and an 180° LED display, ensuring the operator always has a clear overview of the operating status of the saw and the chain brake position. In addition, the MSA 220.1 T has an oil sensor that notifies the user when the chain oil tank is empty, helping to reduce downtime. Other features include side-mounted chain tensioning, a captive nut on the sprocket cover, and tool-free oil tank cap. The MSA 220. 1 T also has an easy-to-clean air filter for long service life and optimum motor cooling. For more information on the STIHL MSA 220.1 T, visit www.stihl.co.uk.
