Spilt from the trunk, then rough planed and then turned. My concern is how much more it will dry, maybe come loose. I need to rough turn some and leave them until needed.

Iβd go with that Dan β¦ I was at my sisters at the weekend in east anglia , she has a large weeping ash that is not showing barely any signs at all of die back , Iβve not seen a live one in Northumberland, they seem particularly susceptible to it here.. looking down the valley yesterday I can just seen pockets of dead trees now that are all ash.

As I have these things with RRP wouldn't want to give them up. This maybe looks a bit smoother, but then again if you watch a video of RRP they fly around in a way that I don't.

Equinor canβt fail but be a good model being the Norwegian state oil firm. Harbour are one of the biggest players left in UK sector, I agree totally Conservatives jumped at the chance to suck a bit more out of the oil companies. Labour have just turned the screws more, plus they are in government now. Very quick to cancel the Rwanda plan and take money from the pensioners which proves they can act if required. Price of oil has long since dropped below anything that justifies βwindfall taxβ. Anyone on here who works offshore will know that you can tell the moment you cross into the Norwegian sector, platforms are new or well maintained and freshly painted, UK sector is just staggering along under successive incompetent governments. The current Labour leadership being by far the worst by a long way.

That makes three of us, maybelateron hated it so much he took today off after two days of Ivy. The last Ivy I stripped off I actually quite enjoyed Stephen, sat in my harness doing it at arms length whilst being moved around by the hiab on your old mog, not a bad afternoon considering!

Yeah thanks Les; I have wondered about pad sanders over the years. But I was thinking more for multiple narrow boards like internal cladding for instance.

Oil ratios are a contentious topic, very hard to test or prove one way or the other! Personally I use 40:1 across everything whether old or new machines, milling or crosscutting, using aspen or pump fuel. I tune the older saws for this. I also believe the USA environmental push for 50:1 and I am just a fan of oil. I have a friendly mechanic that has been repairing saws for years (he does bearings and rebuilds for me) who insists on 40:1, so that's what I do. The infrequently used machines run on aspen and I don't so anything special before putting away. The strimmers drink a tank of aspen before being run dry and stored. My goto Stihl 261 uses pump fuel and gets used daily.

Its pretty impressive for the money. But you do need to be handy with the spanners, and dont be suprised when it wont start. Im happy enough, but I will upgrade as soon as I can.
