  2. Too young and poor to retire! Did think of suffering from anxiety, claiming Tom has issues (just flown to Denver for 4 days!) Then claiming as much benefits as I can! That could amount to a good salary, but not my way...... Got a couple of things bubbling on, will start to look in earnest next week. Just getting some cards made while sat in Crete! Not enough WiFi by the look of it though! Would prefer to stay in the Arb sector but, depends on what is out there and the rewards/role! Got to admit that my head was in a spin for a couple of weeks and will miss those who I met and worked with along the way, but good friends will still be there. A few of us suggested a lads weekend away to drink beer, watch rugby and eat curry which sounds good! Thanks for asking Les.
  3. Worth talking to your broker, our fleetplan covers any driver with no age restriction and also added in sdp use just in case they get stopped driving outside of normal working hours. Bob

Decide to have it fixed various bits inside hydrostatic drive required unfortunately one bits on back order at McCormick dealer and been waiting 6 weeks if I get the part number any ideas on where to start looking for the part instead of just waiting ? do you think part numbers will be the same across the variously branded version of the tractor? thanks david

  10. It was a 350cc Villiers engine. Made light work of any sawing as the torque was there. 6ft bar and the teeth were huge. Just a real b@stard to start.
  11. Hi. Sorry for my late reply. Tried using that after it's rebuild but still no joy. I'm starting to think that this particular model of saw has a carb with no priming bulb which personally speaking is a problem. The models before and after the TS400 both have priming bulbs.
  12. If you hammer it it’ll likely croak, they (genuinely) don’t respond well to heavy pruning.

  14. If you have electricity to your yard I would invest in motion cameras and an alarm system that notifies you whenever someone steps foot into your yard, and a security system that alerts a 3rd party. Someone needs to be alerted otherwise they have all the time on their hands to do whatever they need do to get past all of your padlocks, gates fences etc.
  15. They look bloody good. Ebay might be an option as collection only or delivery for a fee, or the likes of Etsy, I've sold a few turned bits on Etsy. Other than that, getting word out via friends and family/work colleagues is another option, as well as the above local stuff
  16. If it is reasonable quality and quantity you could try John Jenkins at David James. Link to last year's auction: Just a moment... WWW.CHARTEREDSURVEYORS.DAVID-JAMES.CO.UK He could do with some support, to be honest.

    Ladders

After a whole week of unnessasary stress.. the re-sent DPD ladder changed from "at depot", to "returning to sender". I sped off to rescue them, no time to find straps for the roof rack, they would have to fit in the car! Neither DPD or DX could give me any rational explaination. Got them home. Got the comical cardboard wrapping into the recycling. Its not perfect, theres a small dent on the top rung and the weld quality is hidden by the plastic covers. At 8 rungs its very stable. I'll find somewhere better and without sandles before I try 15 rungs, but it would give a working height near roof level of the average house.
  20. Year . I got a couple of those . I call it a tap spanner so as not to confuse it with the tool for holding a tap to cut an internal thread . Also called a " tap wrench " 🙂
  21. https://www.screwfix.com/p/dewalt-fencing-pliers-13-2-5-340mm-/8537p They're all much of a muchness, you'll soon get bored and just roll it up and burn the lot in a fit of rage after a dozen posts and a evaporated will to live.
  22. Modi - India - is going the same way too over Trumps import taxes
  23. Never had a problem if a puncher needs mending anything from barrow to 38in tractor but just get company to fit new on truck and trailers., Went to have a ifor williams trailer tyre mended once and fitter said you can't do them with leavers, I said why so once he broke bead he handed me two leavers and said have ago, that was a challenge I was not going to miss. After about a couple of minutes tyre had parted from wheel and tyre fitter stood there shaking his head, he had set challenge to others and most only got one side off.
  24. I believe the issue is now sorted. Blocked jets being the cause. I took the fuel tank and top of the carb off, sprayed carb cleaner in all the holes and then used the airline to blow them through. The engine now idles and runs on maximum well. I'm yet to chip with it so the engine hasn't been loaded yet. But provisionally, I'd say issue is resolved.

  26. Rifles you regret selling !! I guess most on here will have sold something then regretted it later. For me it was a Sako TRG 41 many years ago when 338 Lapua Magnum was a relatively new round. Bought it through a pal in Finland as a personal import. Super cheap at the time as the pound was strong against the Finnish mark, especially compared to GMKs price for one. Ammo was £56 for 20 back then. Sadly no pics but came across the paperwork whilst clearing out some crap recently. I often wonder if it’s out there still annoying the people on adjacent lanes as the muzzle blast was pretty fierce to say the least.
