Also it would be safer for the cutter to to cut a bit lower..ie less then chest height but better at waste height or lower either way if the tree goes on it’s own the rail/s is gone and maybe the post. Anyway .. im in brighton if you want a hand..?

    GTL fuel

Ok, I got it a bit wrong,,, it’s all about supply and demand and improving the quality of the fuel, however depending on where the crude comes from. It has varying amounts each components, so depending on what you want to make and the amount. you would by crude from different oil fields. I guess a refiner would blend crude to get the products they want. anyway some links to read and understand how crude is used for the whole process. https://www.britannica.com/technology/petroleum-refining/Saturated-molecules The refining process: Distillation | oil & gas logistics OILANDGASLOGISTICS.WORDPRESS.COM Every refinery begins with the separation of crude oil into different fractions by distillation. The fractions are... Alkylation | petrochemical process | Britannica WWW.BRITANNICA.COM Alkylation, in petroleum refining, chemical process in which light, gaseous hydrocarbons are combined to...

    GTL fuel

I read the data sheet... maybe I read it wrong,,, I thought they add it to diesel and get better emissions and mpg... . either way its reuseing an old byproduct from the petroleum industry and giving it a new life, just like aspen fuel Edit : I read the 2nd thing from certas, seems like they say an alternative

  15. Thanks for the tip. I'll have a look at his channel. This link, I said shop when I should have said saloon ??
  16. FYI, Steve’s small engine shop (YouTube channel). Says if you want to wash a carb then put carb in a glass jar in fresh fuel with lid on, as it stops the smell. and put the glass jar upright in the US cleaner with the right amount of water in the tank.. this can be done for small things so not to lose them (putin a jar) and saves cleaning the tank of the US
  17. Long story,,,,I fitted a spur plug socket the other day from the mains it tripped the rcd.. in this box of pixies there are two sides of neutral that are separated, why I don’t know. after plucking a few hairs I disconnected the earth, it did not trip the rcd like it did before... I plucked a few more hairs... i gotta have earth an connection, it works with out earth,, I wonder if I swap the neutral wire over to the other side and connect the earth. Bingo it worked. i saw a mate who’s involved with solar pv farms... he plays with pixies that go into the national grid... his explination was what pixies come in the live,,they run round into what ever you got plugged in and run back out into the neutral and back into the grid,,, what that rcd does, it counts how many pixies come in and go out.. if the right amount don’t go out you got leakage ie pixies hopping out somewhere. So the rcd trips so my guess is dirt/dust in your drill, and it’s damp/ oily and those darn pixies are skipping out to earth.. or you got a little slit in a wire and there doing the same it s just a thought,,, and should do the same on a mains supply.. as long as you don’t let it dry out over night.. Edit,,, in the mains box I fitted the spur, the rcd was connected to the 2nd neutral I tried, that’s why I think it thought pixies were escaping i hope this helps ?
  18. He said he flicked the switch before and worked.. this equals soft start .. id say the answers for the problem are all above, in no particular order... china gen not rated properly, or older gen not making the power (brushes ? Worn ?) Hence 800w on startup wants 2.4k try it at home (drill) and see what it does.. find another juicy power hungry tool and try in the gen but saying all this,, last time I sucked to much power out of the gen on a 2k China thing.. with a 1750 skill saw it Burt the capacitor out. edit,,, I was trying to rip some bone dry ash..and I had the magic smoke coming from the wood. Then the gen died.?
  19. About your new workshop,, heating it is not incinerating waste, otherwise they'd have said the same about heating your house ? I’d go with, how can I help you, what is the complaint and when/ what dates and times. Then say I wasn’t in or burning wood. It must have been someone or something else. they are just going on the complaint, and have no evidence. Remember People like to bend the truth, I bet the complaint was “there was so much smoke coming out I thought the chimney was on fire” but keep us updated,??
  20. Is see it’s already lubed & wet from your previous use. Who's next in line ??????????????

  25. I thought op was in Chichester area,, and that makes it West Sussex. either way a lot of guys come and go... in handcutting, it’s a good learning time in felling for other arb jobs In Forestry work it's a thing of time is money so the more you cut the more the boss earns. After all the boss don’t want to pay if you don’t work when it’s pissin down Oh and yes he wants a hefty wage and profit.. you have to look around and find who is offering better... it’s the way it works in most jobs. That being supermarkets, building work..and everything else.?
