  1. With guys inside, unable to get out. ?
  2. I don’t know when you did your coarse drinksloe,, but think about the company that trains guys,,, there in for every pound of cash they can get out of a guy’s wallet,,, yes they have to go through the coarse in detail,,, but my coarse it was an all in one, ie 8wk intensive coarse, I found out later it was filled with filler stuff.... example just waste time and talk about stuff and site visiting risk assessment stuff ... I could go into detail more... but it’s really not worth it. I got my tickets. But I wish I had more practice from the coarse , and less time wasting.. As for cost of courses, Yes there’s a going rate within reason. But if you can Rent stuff, sell stuff and make a markup on everything..it all adds up. Then it ant cheap. But you got tickets . and/or when you work for someone. Sometimes they get a good deal and sometimes not so much.. but I guess it’s down to the guy with the new tickets, as to weather and how long he stays or not.. on the other hand if the boss is paying for the courses, its up to him how long he thinks he can drag it out and get his monies worth out of the employee... although the employee really is paying for it by slightly lower wages.. I will add not every company is the same, some are better than others ? that’s my tuppence worth ? cheers
  3. You know it’s parked there, to cool off, , ie it gets recovered, then must have a tracker on it.. if it’s still there in a few days the I guess it’s cooled off and the thieving toe rags can tow it away. either way I’d be taking not only the number plate. I'd be getting the vin of the trailer and every other number on the chipper and then call the cops or hopefully the chipper has a company name on it..as well.?.
  4. You fitted them correct.. this is my 660 fitted. I think if you measured your bolts , they be longer than they should be, bet they sent wrong length as the ipl states and just for good measure I will also add my 44 pic
  5. Send it my way,, I’ll be happy with it .??
  6. My guess is root compaction from the digger,,, it’s a slow killer..
  7. I think..... the op has put the diaphragm on the carb body and the gasket on the top,,,, thus pushing the needle valve open..
  8. Umm Duval.. I’ve sunk a few before very good stuff???? I like a bit of Belgium’s beers Oh..and...those dawgs,,, if they are China land metal, your gonna need to case harden them, or as I did cherry red umm....and sinkum in dirty ol engine oil...watchum smokin on the water (deep purple)?, then clean them and blue um...etc.. you know what I mean..???? otherwise,,they be like bananas after the first few uses ? .. that’s why mine were black n red.. I painted them not to last but to cover up the colour from the heatins as for the tank fuel breather...there was a update for a 200t I got for my 200t, and before I fitted it , I thought would work on the 44 butt,,, ? it didn’t..I even looked a bit into the 660 parts ?,,, I think they just forgot about the 044. so I’m all ears on which update mod fits the bad design btw that rubber mushyroom thing, I think it’s known as a ducks bill in some saws, because it looks like it and vents one way and not liquids the other way. although it’s an older designed like that in the 44, let me know , it’s easy if someone else does it 1st ?
  9. Your have to exsplanne to me in different wordys, it Friday and there’s dam all else to do other than drink speckled hen,??? ive still got the thingy tube with two grub screws init, leaks like an elephant on heat ?? if you lay it over
  10. You can see from my screen shot, from L&s what you need, yes that orange duckbill thing can leak and I would change it if you were ordering parts.. although there is a different newer type breather #3 and the grommet #2 in the pic, if it will fit yours I’ve no idea and you can see a lot of things out of stock,,?
  11. Looks like your missing somthing, I’ve got a 026 like that, I just haven't worked out which bit fits it. I thought it was one bit and when I got it it didn’t fit let me looky at the ipl yours maybe more simple,,
  12. My 044 had a cooling back plate on. As for the felling dogs, yes 2 bolts and nylon locking nuts bolts go from the inside, nuts on outside the part no are below 25 &26 but you can see the size, so could get them from anywhere, in normal times.. but I guess it’s easy to add to your order.
  13. This was my teacher in climbing, it was at a pace I could keep up with????
  14. Just put the jungle muff on, and retune the carb, you won’t be disappointed, your get more powa ? although anyone in the near vicinity will say that’s loud ? ?????
  15. How big is the tree, dbh, and or total height.. asking for a friend ?
  16. So is the GT85 a lubricating equivalent of easy start or brake cleaner/carb cleaner
  17. Quite simple really if you look at the ipl in you other thread that I posted. ?
  18. This was mine, but it weren’t leaking i had a 036 that was leaking, and it was similar and very oily ?
  19. Just sum tymes getting things from the states can be a real pain,,, but if there's knowwhereelse.....then.... go for it.
  20. somthing else to put in your reading list to cross reference ?? http://3cyl.com/mraxl/manuals/bell/performance-tuning-graham-bell.pdf edit,, it will fill in those gaps and bits you don’t understand, as it’s written by someone else.. one important thing,,, when measuring squish don’t use to thick solder. Use the thin stuff,, if it don’t get squashed because the squish is to big, twist two bits together.. having too small a squish on a saw will fûddy the thing up,(smash the top and maybe/more likely bend the conrod) when it gets hot and expanded... 20thou aka 0.5mm is the min
  21. If you want to pay over the odds on some part that are generic and if you pocket ok with that.?. But when I rebuilt my 044 a few months back I looky-around and was Surprised at the price difference for the same bearing. you will find one side of the crank is only used by stihl and or where ever sells that type and the other-side any bearing seller sell it. let me find the ones I brought flywheel side 6202 see pics £2.60 inc post. You could look around but you need the C3 grade.... l&s price £9.10 (not sure if that in ex vat or not) plus postage but you'd be buying other stuff (I know I showed a 461 price but it’s the same thing) but you have to buy the clutch side from somewhere like l&s and as you will be buying other stuff it may as well be from the same place And L&s price £10.20 ( I did look at the 461 but it’s the same bearing afaik with out looking it up)
  22. I,m not typing for the night.. but you really need to read the book, setting the squish is a good start, to to this the easy way is base gasket delete.. and or add a gasket to get the required squish.. the saddle screws sit to high on the 461 to allow the cylinder to sit on the crank case.. thus they need the tops taken down... and that saddle is there for a reason the bit I circled in yellow is the saddle and one of the screws.. it late and I’ve had beers.. so brain says sleep time ?????? tomorrow ?
  23. That’s all in the mcdizzy and the 2stroke t h book... to advance and how much is enough.... if you know fuel then the answer is never the same
  24. Yeh also the 461 sans gasket... but you have to take the tops off a little on those 2 screws that hold the saddle in place,, ask if you don’t understand ?
  25. I'd count the dl on the chain you have already, just to be sure. ? iirc different manufacturers bars on different saws can be diff dl counts..
