  3. Clearly you belong on the brexit thread! You would fit right in there
  4. I see theyve done away with the shitty buckles and copied the TM's bridge rings design
  5. You dont say if its a top handled saw or not so i'll assume it is. Really conscider the echo 2511 or the stihl 150. I dont really rate the stihl 201t and only used a husky 540 couple of times so i couldnt recommend one on that limited time of use
  6. Picking little gobs off the deck all day can get tiresome... I only use a gob if i really need too. Couple of times there id say step cuts would have been just as effective. Just my opinion no offence meant bud
  7. At 2 days 3xmen id be lookin about 1800. Id price 2 days but would be done a bit quicker in reality. Thanks for posting vid. Did you get the blower up to blow the roof before you took the last pole down? Sorry,my pet peev!
  8. I tried that harness years ago and had the opposite problem, serious nad crusher... I must have bigger plums than you... Is that good or bad....?
  9. Doesnt matter you can put 2,3 or 4 biners on your ring if u need em. A 2nd option would be clip biners straight onto your bridge or onto your side D's.Anywhere that gets you into a safe position and keep u there
  10. Theres always a way. Ive climbed trees that were deemed impossible. You just need to look at every option. Can you multi anchor? ie use lots of little anchors to prevent you taking a big swing if you take a tumble. Can you use taped slings as footholds to get you out on branches to prune em.Use 2 or even 3 lanyards to get into work position with one mainline attatched to the main stem. Pics would defo help us solve this problem with you.
  11. Sorry 241.? Ive edited my post
  12. Stihl ms 241c on a 14 full chiz chain. Awesome little saw, light and powerful
  13. So so sorry too read this stubby. I cant offer any kind of advice or consolation but my family and i have your family in our thoughts. Try too be positive for your Mrs sake. Really sorry mate.
  14. Best thing ive had with black pudding is sauted onion and apple puree. Had it at a tapas place i frequent... Its fuckin delicious! Dunno if it could be done justice "on the hoof" though.... Black pudd, haggis and potato scone is great too,or in a big cooked breakfast with sausage, bacon and beans.... Hmmmmm.
  15. I took a punt on a husky 346xp on ebay couple of years back.It turned out to be a good saw in well maintained condition. Sent it too spud to service and port.. Now its a demon.... ???
  16. Strip out oil resevoir and inspect it. Could be a leak in the resevoir pipe or resevoir itself. You can buy epoxy to seal the hole,if thats the problem or new reservoir unit. I had same issue with a little stihl ms180 with alot of hours on it. Hope its an easy fix for you bud
  17. Alan at Merlin tree services will come to your workplace to loler kit. Top man. Be careful of John Ewing at Hamilton brothers Dont buy anything to replace failed kit.Very pricey!
  18. Where did this thread come from? Hope your girls ok mark. You wont keep a lab from its grub! Best wishes to dutchie
  19. 115 drive links for 395xp on a 36" bar
  20. Star wars (i was 5 when it came out) Ghostbusters Shawshank redemption Greenmile
  21. You should be running at least a semi skip chain on a 66 with a 36" bar. Oiler turned up. We run 25's on ours, just better imo. Big bars are a lot of fannying around up the tree
  22. Im not allowed to use tifors on account of doin 3 shear pins in an afternoon....?
  23. Tsb did say in his op he looked at that option but it was a no go. Like ive said before until your on site and looked at the tree nose to bark its purely guesswork...
  24. Its very difficult, almost impossible to know how to remove that tree on the strength of some pictures. It looks a pain in the arse and if your gut is telling you its a no no then you made the right call. On the other hand i bet theres a wee voice in the back of your head sayin stop being a big blouse and get the job done! In my experience there are 2 types of climbers, one will do the job and be slow and steady very cautious, plan everything to the last detail, then theres the other type with absolutly no fear to the point of stupid and will climb anything. Ive walked away from more than a couple of trees and heard others went up with no problem,i have no issue with that...im slowly slowly catchy monkey go home at the end of the day type of guy. Dont be too hard on youself mate
