  1. Check your carb. Looks like a carb related issue if all other avenues have been checked. You can get carb kits or even a new carb for buttons. Im sure spud will be along soon for his expert diagnosis.
  2. One way of lookin at it i suppose
  3. Everyones under quoted jobs, as wes said, its part of the learning curve. Done it myself couple if times, one sticks out in my mind of an ash with lots of ivy. Job was strip out ivy and pollard. Wasnt the biggest ash, probably 50 foot to the tips but it was really big crown spread. I priced it for 2 days with me and a groundie, but was lookin at a day and a morning really. On the 2nd day when i came down late in the afternoon and the customer asked if i could take a limb away that was over his neighbours garden, had to be rigged so it was a couple of hours onto the job. I took the hit but going back up to remove that limb was a bastard as i new i was now working in a financial deficit. Dunno if id go back to a customer to renegotiate. Wes lucked out on that one id say. Just as a wee side note, id say most customers are good people and very understanding but you do get the odd prick/fuckwit.
  4. I wouldnt say its too long but try a shorter eye to eye and that will give you your answer.
  5. Both sit around the 2hp mark but your are correct the 135 is slightly higher in cc than the stihl. The 135 is a tad heavier and more bulky than the stihl but over all a better saw. I still love the little stihl 180 over the 181 and 135 though
  6. Husky 135 has the same power as the stihl ms181 you were considering. Have you thkught of the stihl ms180. Older version of the 181 and you can stihl get them new. Bulletproof little saws
  7. Yeah 70 or 75cm eye to eye hitch cord and a knut or michoacan hitch. Theres loads of hitch's. The hc takes a bit of trial and error to perfect, matching cord type, hitch and rope type can be a pita but once its refined and works the way you want, its a great climbing system. Watch this for ideas https://youtu.be/G7u_AnxgWYM
  8. Hmmmm, the stihl 181 id avoid. Look at the husky 135,which is ok or id really recommend the stihl 241 which is the smallest pro chainsaw stihl do. Light and punchy at 42cc. Best run on a 14"inch bar its the best of that category id say.
  9. Thats a Ronnie Barker quote from porridge when he's rippin the piss out of Mr McKay. Dunno the pc version now Suppose you'd have to indentify your potential beau's gender indentification first... God forbid its non binary.... ?
  10. The express? A tory rag run by Richard Desmond I wouldnt trust the results of that so called "poll"
  11. We tend not to fuck about. We dont do subtle, tact or sympathy... I think its the weather that does it to us..
  12. Was it his wife? Was it his press secretary? His bit on the side? Another tory twat Mp? Fuck knows and neither do you so its a moot point as is the situation without the politics. He's a twat He's a tory Hope he gets his jotters Another one bites the dust
  13. Good, one less tory prick on our wage bill.
  14. Nearly 3 years out my zigzag, but im not an everyday climber and i now run it in 12.5mm. Fucked elbows, thicker rope easier to grab. Looks like your gonna have to bite the bullet and buy another
  15. Maybe im being thick but i dont understand what you mean here? Is the positioner on your lanyard and your want a longer lanyard for better positioning?
  16. Smells awful, tastes worse! My Mrs loves it... Dirty bitch!
  17. Was just hopin it wasnt goats cheese ??
  18. Looks like pooch fancies some of that cheese.(brie or camebert?)
  19. Hauling gear up trees?? Am i the only one who gets the groundies to pull gear up for me? Or am i a lazy bastard?
  20. Paul,i have to say this thread is the only reason i come on to arbtalk nowadays. Spiritually uplifting and very interesting, and if im honest im envious of your lifestyle. I yearn to adventure, travel and take each day as it comes as you do. Your living my dream in some ways and i look at you with a little envy. The older i get the further away i feel from attaining this dream. I cant be too disappointed, ive had adventures, seen beautiful and not so beautiful places all over the world in the services but i feel we are the same type of souls always searching but unsure what were searching for. Please keep posting and enjoy your adventures. I hope you find what your searching for mate.
