  1. Will the back row really be killed? Or will one side of it just stay brown? Why is this guy a t**t btw the way Woodcrafter?
  2. In a classic case of buy cheap buy twice I have been balking at forking out for a decent quality vice. It has taken me FOUR attempts to finally put my hand in my pocket, the previous three have all been cheapo jobs that have fallen apart. This one should outlive me!
  3. Also I hope you told the insurance company about the winch.
  4. I did some research and the rotator/grab combo is probably too heavy for a 1.5t digger. And at around 4k too expensive. I got a hydraulic thumb instead. 350 quid. You'll need another service down the arm, although many diggers already have that.
  5. I would say 24 is a very good age to start, old enough to know what you might really want to do, not too old that you're playing catch up. Groundsman/laborer is an entry I guess, but it's poorly paid gutty work. I would say get on the blower to the companies and offer to work as a brush dragger for a day or two. Many companies have busy days where someone extra will come in handy. Don't expect more than 50 odd quid in your hand, but it will give you an idea of what you're letting yourself in for. If your still game after that you'll have to do some courses and get qualified.
  6. Yes, overnight rain, nice, fed up with watering.
  7. I've just been checking google images, it certainly looks legit!
  8. Hmmm, suspiciously new looking top cover.
  9. Thank you, things you didn't know you didn't know as they say.
  10. Well I'm guessing B means braked.
  11. Is it just me that's a little bored with people stirring up stuff between these two companies?
  12. Doesn't matter, I was showing where the serial number plate will be.
  13. There is/should be a plate on the top with the date of manufacture.
  14. Yes, my 150 has no brakes, I think the engine (v1505) is de tuned to 31/32 hp although I've never noticed a difference compared to others.
  15. Hi Justo. Welcome. I'm the same technology wise, many's the time I've told the wife I'm going to fake my own death in a canoe, and move to Central America because of internet issues.
  16. If I was just walking out my door and driving to someone else's yard with my climbing gear and a topper, 120 quid would do me. If you're using any sort of plant equipment chipper, grinder etc that's the road to ruin.
  17. Just a thought, if you really are chipping all day with a TW150 or similar you could get through north of 40 litres of diesel.
  18. I use a page a day diary, still the odd cock up, especially when booking appointments for quotes as they tend to get scribbled down in a hurry at work.
  19. I don't know tbh, I got a local garden machinery outfit to source and fit. They told me €3000 all in, when I went to collect they said "oh, we didn't realise that the pipes weren't supplied so we had to buy them, so it's €600 extra! We Are very disappointed" "Not as bloody disappointed as me" I murmured pulling out my cheque book. Anyway here's a close up, the original loading bucket is inside. If I could change one thing I'd put a bar across the tines to add strength, you have to be a bit careful when picking up in case you permanently distort the tines. Not happened yet mind.
  20. He'll come on in a minute and say "nah, you're alright"
