  1. Being a freelancer as a way of filling in whilst you start your own thing, ie saving for a tipper/chipper is fine. Just doing it as a rock star thing has no future.
  2. No, and I never said that, there are many councils now that won't sanction any reduction purely because a HO wants more light.
  3. Great post There will be more and more "mysterious sudden death syndrome" if this policy of no reductions continues.
  4. Elaeagnus, small hedge/shrub, firewood? I suppose it'll burn.
  5. I know, it's crazy, no reductions allowed, obviously 5mtrs is too much but stopping reasonable reductions to relatively young garden trees is stupidity. So it comes back denser? So what? Do it again and again on a 5 year cycle.
  6. That hedge gives me the jitters. What a gruesome job! Like you say the width of those that can give you a cold. Bet you're glad to finish that.
  7. Is it an invisible owl? Ok I see it now.
  8. I'm not moaning or telling you what to do. But I can see why he Mesterh posted that. He has a point.
  9. Ha ha, that really made me laugh! I know what you mean, it's gone a bit nuts lately,
  10. It's a lovely area, I think he means it's only just across the channel.
  11. Occasionally I do a bit of digger work or building arches, rose frames etc in the summer. I enjoy the freedom to wear jeans, no helmet, heavy trousers and no bloody noise!
  12. I hear you, I'd love to be a bit more talented in landscaping, just trees can be bit boring.
  13. Yes of course, I should have said after deductions, ie business costs.
  14. I've looked at this thread a few times to try and figure out how your post is relevant to mine.
  15. For some reason I had this picture in my head.
  16. Yeah, didn't really think that through.
  17. Wind blown then regrow straight?
