  1. KewlShirt? Evaporative Cooling Tank Top | TUK SHOP Cool Vest for Heat Stress Relief, Motorcycle Cooling Vest: Veskimo Personal Cooling Systems The yanks who work in much worse heat and humidity than us temperate sorts swear by this sort of thing.
  2. Plus you can be a brilliant rigger, ace at reductions and good with clients but if your flyer delivery is inadequate, it could cost you a lot of work.
  3. Morning. I have to admit I had not thought of eels! I'll check the cupboard see if I've any I've forgotten about. I reckon the best plan would be to go down there and dig down to remove a few metres of silt, but I don't mind climbing up a great big tree, no way I'm lowering myself down a hole, it's a good 10 Mtrs to the water. Might find some hidden wartime gold though.
  4. Or put them higher, it became a bloody circus in the end.
  5. My mate still uses one of those, brutal but effective, is it right there's no suspension on the axles? A pig to tow.
  6. In answer to Cov's question.... Having followed threads like this over the years on here, And bearing in mind I left the UK a decade ago! Here's what I reckon. Top climber, topper, and rigging kit, in the right locale ie, London or other major conurbation, just shy of 200 quid, More inexperienced climber in a less affluent area 100 quid with a sliding scale in between.
  7. I guess, but I had this dream of endless clean, clear water! I had the rainwater collectors as well, the problem with them was I couldn't get any pressure to irrigate. If you added up all the money I spent on those, hoses, valves etc, plus the pump (€250) it buys a lot of water from SAUR. Plus those 1000ltr cubes are ugly blighters. We've got great pressure here anyway. I gave it up as more bother than it's worth.
  8. I purchased a pump at great expense for our well. Cue gushing crystal clear water over our flower beds for 20 minutes! Then the well ran dry and took days to refill. Sold it half price weeks later.
  9. I thought that trunk was going to keep going.
  10. Good practice for the keyhole cut anyway. 560 well up to the job with pop. Good pics.
  11. I don't want one but does look good getting into tight spaces. Who's going to clear that mess up in pic 5?
  12. Thail - Mass Effect Wiki - Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, walkthroughs and more. Wow!
  13. Some people traffikers were trying to smuggle illegal migrants into America in Jon's Land Rover. Am I right?
  14. Larch perhaps, do the needles drop in winter?
  15. And Ron Moody, great career as well. "My proudest moment was the number "Reviewing the Situation". I suspect that, because I gave my all to the role, and because I was working with such a fine team of people, it inhibited my future career. I turned down quite a few offers afterwards because I thought the people didn't come close to those I'd worked with on Oliver!- which in retrospect was a mistake."
  16. https://www.facebook.com/djreminisemusic/videos/10152794483463869/ I was doing a light reduction today, singing and happy in my work, and well, I got quite a shock!
  17. That one won't be forgotten about in a hurry!
  18. Good vid, nice and laid back, I'd have unbolted and taken home the power head overnight though!
  19. That saw sitting in the hopper of the GM, could be nasty!
  20. Got soaked this morning, so abandoned the job. Sun shone all afternoon (naturally)
  21. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/86243-just-had-nutter-going-about-ppi-i-told-him-were-go.html This thread should give you some pointers Jon.
  22. A fitting farewell to a great servant. I am nostalgic as well about gear I've had for years. (Mind you the money when it's sold helps ease the heartache!) Even the spout makes it look sad.
  23. Sigh.... To be horribly mercenary about it every accident/fatality or major power line snapper, roof breaking cock up is a reminder to the public of the consequences and actually makes our prices seem reasonable. Long live the have a go hero! Keeping the tree related injuries stats high.
  24. Got the job done, all the wires stayed up. So what?
