  1. I didn't realise that not all "steel toecap boots" were not actually steel. Sobering vid.
  2. No that's me, picture of primitive magnificence.
  3. Looks expensive, surprised it went over as easy as that, but photos can deceive. My old rayco 1625 went over dozens of times, even a barrel toll down a hill once! Engine was always fine afterwards. Kohler 25hp command unit. Never gave me a moments bother in 12 years.
  4. Ahhhh, thank for the explanation. Makes sense.
  5. I'm unfamiliar with these, except in pictures. What is the advantage over another more conventional compact tractor of the same power? Ie kubota/John Deere
  6. In all fairness, after 20+ years of chainsaw usage, the only disappointing "not my fault" failures was two 357s blowing up long before they should have. Everything else has been my misuse/poor maintenance. Or reasonable wear through age. (Only stihl /husky btw)
  7. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/members-only/40022-guarantee-99-guys-know-where-image.html I knew I'd find this thread somewhere!
  8. Thing I hate about hedges is that you can't rush them really, can't cheat, no shortcuts. The care you take shows in the result. Good work.
  9. More power, less weight. Smaller dimensions. Electric power that lasts.
  10. Not certain about still pictures, but I've seen some outstanding videos at this location.
  11. Bump. I was reminded of this thread when I came home from a trip abroad for a week. The smaller walnut on the right is the one which does not come into full leaf till mid June, every year I'm convinced it's dying, in full leaf now, happy as Larry. It's neighbour hasn't fared so well and went over in my absence.
  12. I would say the other end of your climbing line, but that would be wrong:001_smile: I always have a shortish length of old climbing line with a fixed eye permenantly attached. Takes a few seconds to get it sent up, then use it to lower or just hold.
  13. I can't let that one pass without a "well done":001_smile:
  14. Look not everyone is going to be "my type of client" Using a blower like that means the way is clear to do the job, the client is not offended, plus, as a bonus they get to touch it when they weed their borders. (After you've gone)
  15. That's the best idea I've heard in a while. Usually we mark it with canes and plant pots but your idea is much better.
  16. I used one of these for the first time last week. Was an absolute dream, great pulling power, unbelievably light. Real step forward.
  17. As someone put on FB, it's a pity they used a picture of a NT volunteer on a Sunday morning.
