  1. I've had one, I once put 1250 kg of topsoil on, it was utterly undriveable. Legal capacity and what you can realistically put on are two different things.
  2. The choice seems to be between carrying next to no chip and feck all chip
  3. Great photos of a really big tree, hope the butt's not full of metal.
  4. I have found the "balls" a right booger to get into the rollers. I've been meaning to take some pics of entire poplar plantations infested with mistletoe over here, it's really quite a sight.
  5. Selector fork went in my LR as well, French garage charged 11 hours labour to replace it. What's good you ask? Toyota/Nissan/Mitzi/Ranger.
  6. If I'm honest, no. I put a lot through my chippers, a GM and TW, never had an issue. How does this gunk affect the performance of the machine?
  7. Everything's ruined now! Tiny lettering, huge photos, worlds gone mad! Nice machine all the same.
  8. It didn't look that big in the first picture!
  9. If it has a tpo its out of your hands. Let the TO decide, then follow his instructions.
  10. This^ Or just accept they're like trailer light boards, i.e. Need to be replaced regularly.
  11. Don't they still make some old saws in South America? I heard tell they're still making 076s out there. husky 288s as well
  12. Bottom roller on the GM 220 stopped today, suspect broken motor. We'll have a look tomorrow, lucky I keep the tw in reserve, saved the day and we drove home with the cheque. Priceless.
  13. I missed it, but surely they decided to fell it because it made better TV.
  14. You're wrong. I'll say it again, young males are more likely to cause accidents, insurance companies know it, that's why they charge them more.
  15. Strange isn't it? I had a guy work for me a few years back who was preparing for the oil to run out. You know the sort of thing, growing vegetables obsessively, anticipating complete breakdown in society. Probably drives a Hummer now.
  16. I think you CAN generalise who the worst drivers are, the insurance companies do. It's their business to know. Young males. End of story.
  17. Plus it's usually young men who are the worst offenders, not the older drivers.
  18. I had similar incidents on road management situations back in the UK. People are sent off the deep end by the insane (and ever growing) volume of traffic. I've noticed that, on my occasional trips back, there has been a marked increase in vehicle numbers in the decade since I left, because it's incremental you probably don't notice it day on day.
  19. How unfortunate. I bought a 550 a month ago and we all love it, so good to use on the ground, quick and light. The 560 is a bit neglected ATM.
