  1. I'm well aware of the law and how it stands, but it cheeses me off a bit that people plant trees next to boundaries, IMO the neighbour should be within his rights to cut the roots, they are on his property after all
  2. We had 130kmph gusts here last night, I was called out this morning by a regular client, back tomorrow as well. There are still about 8,000 homes without power too.
  3. I'm afraid a little knowledge is very much a dangerous thing on my end. The van is 11-12 years old now so its a possibility
  4. So I'm still chasing electrical problems with the kangoo, I had it hooked up to a diagnostic which showed no faults, and although the battery and stop light still flicker, she still runs fine. I blew a fuse recently for the indicators, changed it and all was well until today I jump in, no indicators. fuse is still good. after a while the right turn starts working but the left is still having none of it. All through this the hazards work fine, so no bulb issues. Any ideas? I dont want to go round changing relays and indicator stalks, if this all points to the master board and the thing is essentially FUBAR...
  5. I filled a 35 yard ro-ro bin with chip recently and it was 13 tonnes if that helps, dont forget if rain gets stuck in there you're paying for water
  6. I can see both sides of the story here, if it was me I would have asked them to accept a deal similar to what you are proposing, just to see their response. I like you would have jumped at the chance. Maybe those who are less keen aren't really the type of guys you want to have around for years to come... If they had accepted the deal I would pay them the full whack, they are obviously good eggs who deserve it.

  8. Can anyone recomened a cheap place to get a starter motor armature? and how to get the right one? I cant see any part numbers scribed on the old one. Everything else on the start is fine, it spins, i think the valves got out of adjustment and snapped the shaft.

  17. Worked for gressingham duck farms, collecting all the breeding eggs, 6 hours bent over in hot smelly barns, then collecting all the dead birds and pressure washing excrement covered equipment......lasted 3 weeks.....
  18. RE the search function, I agree it needs some improvement. After it tells me that my search terms are too short or too common, I just do what I should have done in first place and put "search term 1 + 2 arbtalk" into google and then I can find what I want. seems an unnecessary step.
  19. 59 isn't divisible by 3
  20. 59% and some change, But then again my pricing is and was all over the show being as Ive just started up.
  21. I was supposedly right in the eye of the storm on the western tip of Brittany. I was hoping for some call outs. Some upturned wheelie bins was about as bad as it got
  22. If anyone is interested you can fly from Stansted to Dinard for about £15. Fencing would be great Ty, Will be nice to do something I'm good at for a change haha!
  23. Find an old bit of dry wood, cut along the grain with chainsaw and hey presto you get loads of long shavings to use as tinder.
  24. Great guys to work with, food is significantly better than a soggy sandwich in a transit and a snazzy orange T shirt if you're lucky!
