  1. Do you already have the Trannie? I was also looking to add a tree body but found a factory built one already fitted to a 2006 lwb, with high ally plank arb body & separate tool box for £6.4. I was told it'd be at least £3k to replace just the body, which I thought was a steep.
  2. So your stood in bushes, zip undone while looking at 2/3 houses? Hmmm. On a building site up on the scaffold years ago we used to pee down the scaffold tubes. Polish guy wanted a no2 & only tried it the same way.
  3. Ok, all timber sorted...just chip now.
  4. Hi all. We have a large pine to fell this Saturday & could do with a chip site somewhere nr Folkestone if anyone can help? Logs too if any good. Thanks
  5. You're quite right, I had no clue re skip chains. Just been looking it up elsewhere & makes interesting reading so thanks.
  6. Ha ha. Had minted pea soup which was good so expect these to be similar.
  7. Yup, mines 36" too & yes chain is sharp. As stated, I reckon I was expecting too much from a new saw.
  8. Minted mushy peas?? Now I've just gotta try these.
  9. It seems likely that I'm expecting too much, too early. Ok guys thanks.
  10. Thats Paul of 'All Aspects' at Crabtree close, nr Vigo. If he's full or out the other is at the Hop Farm, Paddock Wood where its Dawn you need to speak to but I do know that you can tip there for now even if she's away.
  11. Steve, they still need mixed chip near me at Paddock Wood if thats within travelling distance from 7oaks. Let me know & I'll pm you details.
  12. If thats the 'lad' in the first pic, you must be really old. Glad the outcome was good Mick.
  13. As the title. The saw has done no more than 3 hrs from new but sometimes bogs down. Just wondered if this should be our first move. How about replacing the gauze for something more free breathing?
  14. Well its obvious...she's waiting for some beans on it.
  15. I too love beans on toast, fancy food & takeaways are ok but I used to & still could, happily survive on plain bont.
  16. Think we got OE from Orange Plant for just over £100. Recently, after 12/14 hrs of total chipping on an otherwise new CS, the choke lever has started vibrating itself on. A spring has sorted it but the first we knew was when it was struggling to fully rev. I heard the same Vanguard engine, used elsewhere had the same problem. Agree with the view to reverse blades after 12 hrs as it certainly tailed off, mine after 10.
  17. Thanks, will keep the no in the truck. Les
  18. Hey Ratty & welcome. I'm fairly new myself to this work so don't give advice, just read loads but there are plenty on here with a wealth of experience & some good banter/discussions. Les
  19. No prob & everyones happy eh? Btw...where is 'your way' Jay?
  20. Still not named it, sorry...just can't:blushing:. Been a great little machine for our weekend work, so we hope to keep it for those awkward jobs even once we upgrade to roller fed.
  21. Re the scanner. Last week I managed to grind thru a catv cable which was routed diagonally across the garden no more than 6" below surface & right beside the stump I was grinding. Would a scanner have seen this? Customer was sympathetic & still offered a £20 tip despite being without phone/pc etc for 4 days.
