1. Nice one. I have mine permanently mounted upon a motorcycle trailer.
2. Morning. We have a couple of jobs in Folkestone/Hawinge areas over the next few weeks but need a local chip/greenwaste site to take several tranny loads. If anyone knows of one it'd be well appreciated. Les
3.
Its at the Hop Farm nr Paddock Wood. Whats your co name & I can tell her to expect you to drop some loads over the next few weeks? Or I can give you the phone no to get their directions etc.

4. Thanks, damp membrane sounds good. Blowers great until theres pea gravel.
5. Hi all. As the title says really. A park manageress I've befriended is looking for 80 cu mtrs of chip of any type, inc leaves & mulch. It'll be a base layer for a large play area near Paddock Wood. They need it over the next few weeks so if you want this you can pm me & I'll arrange or I can pass the details direct to you. Access is suitable for transit size trucks any day of week.

7. Morning all. What sort of long lengths of sheeting do you guys use to catch the arisings & from where do you get it? I thought hessian as it might dry quicker if wet.
8. Silence I can stand, its the potential to starve I worry about. More seriously...as I cut the mature Jasmine stems about a foot off the ground as soon as we realised, about 3 hours after her mistake, do you think the poison mightn't have reached the roots, meaning it could survive? Please say yes or speech & food won't be the only thing banned for the foreseeable.
9. Just in case anyone else should fill the 'Ant & Bug' spray with Roundup without telling her indoors...beware:blushing:. Even if I did write Roundup on the bottle in clear letters it didn't stop her spaying everything in our garden with it last night. Good thing is its really quiet here & probs will be for a few days.
10. I ask them if its being recorded for 'training' & when they say yes, I say "F*ck off!" My wife bursts into 'tears' & says I've just left her. PMSL.
11. Can't help you but...I watched one of these being used a few days back, quite impressed.
12. The gravity fed CS can be a pain to feed but never having been spoiled by roller fed.... We use it most weekends & carry spare belts as we've shredded a couple when over enthusiastically expecting it to swallow 4" stuff too fast. When it gets replaced by something bigger we'll keep it for jobs where access is tight. Now back to tipper hunting.
13. Guess it depends on the size of your business. Being quite new we're making do by towing an 8x4 trailer (with CS100 inside) behind a Disco. Of course once the trailers full of chip it needs to be tipped before we can get the cs home. So far its worked but we're looking for a transit tipper (followed by a road tow chipper) to give more capacity so saving tip run time/miles. Oh...& ours isn't even a tipping trailer. All good fun tho' & loving this work.
14. Blimmin' eck...the first 45 secs had me hiding behind the sofa.
15. 6'4"/16st/62 yrs old...but not a climber. BMI...wassat?
16. No pics but I spent a few years drumming crosshanded until I succumbed to tinnitus. To be fair it wasn't just the drums but a combination of slr 7.62 use in the 70s (no useful earplugs back then) & motorcycling, again in those days without ear protection. Nice set up but take care of those ears Ti.
17. Hi all. I'm posting this on behalf on our son James aged 36. He's done his own tree/log cutting in Liskeard for years & did the basic 1 week chainsaw handing/maintenance & felling of small trees with Kingswood so has PPE. He's sold his house & will be moving within a few weeks to N Kent. He's keen to start work asap & wants to climb soon (at his expense). He has all sorts of tickets for various machinery (Mewps etc) & a towing licence. Heres hoping & feel free to pm if you need more details etc. Thanks for looking. Les
18. I know I'm shallow but putting promises & politics aside (if thats possible)...don't think I could stand seeing or hearing Millipede on the box every day if won.
19. Hey Ian, looks ok to me as most things homemade are satisfying to make & nice to handle/use. Whats it for?
20. Mine came with a pair of shims, a gap gauge & the star drive socket.
21. Thanks for the input, I'll check the gap soon & mebbe get a spare set of blades. I was once again impressed with this baby chipper when it was in (almost) constant use for 6 hrs & coped with all we chucked at it today, mostly wet conifer up to about 4 1/2". Used about 6 ltrs of juice.
22. Anyone with a CS100 can tell me if the blade/anvil gap be adjusted. Is it shims as there are 2 thin plates with 4 holes in the spares bin. And another similar but a 45 degree kink, without holes which could be a gap gauge. The guy who brought it around was going to show me but I was out at the time & no manual:001_rolleyes:. If anyone knows this I'd appreciate help as I think the gap is too big. Also...how is the blade cassette removed. Thanks in advance.
