  1. Hi Paul, We came to a arbAC workshop a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. We worked through our tickets and got more or less everything in place. We’ve just been so flat out busy that we never got round to it. Thinking about it, the arbAC stickers would come in handy to hold our rusty, knackered trucks together. Maybe next year....... [emoji106]
  2. Extras.. we call these customers “Columbo’s” Oh.. just one more thing
  3. Recently got asked if I could cut a row of skanky conifer stems into “seats” along side the fence where they were growing..... The customer thought it would look good.....
  4. Come to think of it, there were a lot of them in the dessert display at Costa today. Flying insects that is.....
  5. Surely radical Islam has to shoulder some of the blame?
  6. For laying across the top of tall spindly conny hedges when you’re trimming them.
  7. Very sorry to hear this. He was a fine looking dog. Like a French mastiff type.
  8. Our prices tend to fluctuate. When we are really busy I’ll try and price us out of the less well paid work eg conifers and hedge work, that way we can try and cherry pick the better jobs.
  9. Dunno about skiing but Prague is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe [emoji106]
  10. This is probably the sort of thing you’re after. https://www.rockexotica.com/hydra/
  11. You’re not wrong ..
  12. Surely your Loler guy can put his own ID mark on your rope as he is LOLERing the rope this time and can establish its date of first use?
  13. The absolute worst thing you can find on a job is the fact that the customer never had any intention of paying you. Only happened once in eleven years thankfully.
  14. Doing good thanks mate. Not doing so much climbing at the minute as other duties are taking my focus right now. Thanks for asking [emoji106]
  15. And hate the way it seems to get “reactivated” the next time it rains.
  16. It was just about worth it, if I remember right they even offered us a cup of tea. “Er... nah you’re ok thanks” I recon Eggs would have seen (and smelt) some sights in his line of work..,
  17. Doing a garden rubbish clearance years ago, it became apparent that the family who lived there would just launch dirty nappies straight out of the back door into the garden. It got worse further in when we found a carrier bag with a litter of dead puppies, think they’d been drowned. Filth.
  18. Robert Mugabe is appointed Goodwill Ambassador for the WHO. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 You really couldn’t make it up.

Yer, I agree to an extent, but it is the fact that they just suddenly succumb to scoring in the p&p. If it was gradual wear I’d understand it. We’ve got 346’s that have been with us for 10 years. If I was hand cutting in forestry I’d expect it.
  20. Sounds like he could do with a spell with us! [emoji51]

They recon it’s the auto tune that is at fault. Our local dealer says he gets loads of 560’s in with the same problem. Usually happens after about two and a half to three years. I had one for well over 2 years and he put a new pot and piston in on warranty.. the next one went after 3 years.. won’t be getting another one, which is a shame as they are cracking saws. The local dealer says he’s only going to be stocking 562s.

560 is a really great saw right up until the pot and piston give up. Going to try a 562 next.
  23. Rob Wells (Riggerbear on here). Ace climber and gets stuck in dragging, ringing up and with the rake when he comes down from the tree. If he stays overnight he’ll knock up splices or service the chipper in the evening. A real gem. Also Richie R on here, a real grafter and great guy to work with. [emoji106]
  24. Not wanting to be negative, but I very much doubt that you would get tree work insurance (that would actually pay out) without qualifications.
