  1. Robert Mugabe is appointed Goodwill Ambassador for the WHO. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 You really couldn’t make it up.

Yer, I agree to an extent, but it is the fact that they just suddenly succumb to scoring in the p&p. If it was gradual wear I’d understand it. We’ve got 346’s that have been with us for 10 years. If I was hand cutting in forestry I’d expect it.
  3. Sounds like he could do with a spell with us! [emoji51]

They recon it’s the auto tune that is at fault. Our local dealer says he gets loads of 560’s in with the same problem. Usually happens after about two and a half to three years. I had one for well over 2 years and he put a new pot and piston in on warranty.. the next one went after 3 years.. won’t be getting another one, which is a shame as they are cracking saws. The local dealer says he’s only going to be stocking 562s.

560 is a really great saw right up until the pot and piston give up. Going to try a 562 next.
  6. Rob Wells (Riggerbear on here). Ace climber and gets stuck in dragging, ringing up and with the rake when he comes down from the tree. If he stays overnight he’ll knock up splices or service the chipper in the evening. A real gem. Also Richie R on here, a real grafter and great guy to work with. [emoji106]
  7. Not wanting to be negative, but I very much doubt that you would get tree work insurance (that would actually pay out) without qualifications.
  8. Nice work Wes. Zero tolerance for damage in a graveyard. Echo what Don says about a friction device. Tree wraps are a pain, a Stein 3001 would put the Joy into your rigging jobs.
  9. Genuine quote? Perhaps but no firm could stay afloat for long on that kind of income. Did you ask her if she asked to see their climbing tickets, insurance and LOLER certificates? If it is a genuine price then that tells you something about the competition....
  10. Eel have to be moray careful in future.
  11. Sounds like the CODWOOD have killed him if he hadn’t sprat it out....
  12. Maybe someone looking out for you after all, MrJ. Glad you were all right!
  13. One of my favourite films of all time. Apparently they scripted 4 different endings before they settled on that one.
  14. Not disagreeing with what you say, advocating bad practice or condoning the butchering of trees. I don’t think there are many tree care firms, even decent “3998” ones that can earn money without starting a saw up, and only doing conservation work. Personally, I will always try and sell the customer a crown thin rather than a reduction and if explained properly it is encouraging to find that more often than not they will take the advice. 15. I’ve used Limelite on a Zigzag and it was good. Not too bouncy and kept it’s shape pretty well. Marlow Venom which was developed for mechanical devices is durable and kept its shape really well but on the downside was really bouncy and not very nice on the hand especially when wet with very poor knot ability. I’m currently on Tachyon which is has a great feel to it.
  16. Slight arthritis in my right knee and right wrist. I’ve had the hydrocortisone injection in my knee and it was great for two days. Circuit training and climbing has been the best help for it oddly enough. It’s when I stop moving tat it starts to creak a bit. Usual silky nicks and irritated eyes from sawdust.
  17. Apparently, in California it’s not really that bad if someone deliberately infects you with HIV.... http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/10/09/intentionally-infecting-others-with-hiv-no-longer-a-felony-in-california/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_term=daily&utm_content=links&utm_campaign=20171009
  18. So you think your getting out?
  19. Some kind of device fitted to the team leaders chainsaw trousers that sends an electrical charge out if the truck hasn’t left the yard by 9:15am. [emoji34]
  20. Maybe for cutting clay for bricks..
  21. That has crushed testicles written all over it. [emoji30]
  22. Wireless charging is already here on phones so why not a backpack type of battery for an electric saw? Remotely powered Bluetooth saws. As long as the EU don’t restrict the wattage on electric saws like they did with vacuum cleaners [emoji849]
  23. Yes, fair play, I missed that,
