  1. I took that stem in my avatar down in Spain with a 40cc oleo mac. (Not by choice but by necessity as big saws aren’t readily available in southern Spain!) surprisingly good little saw. Would have preferred to use something a lot bigger, of course.
  2. Thanks for the reply’s. Will check out Martyn’s link and if not will go with the echo’s I don’t want to risk getting delayed or having to drive, if it was more than a weeks work then I might have considered it. Will post pics of the work. [emoji106]
  3. I’m into my 3rd year with a pair of SIP progress. Very hard wearing and not right at the top end of prices.
  4. It’s more the calibre of company that he keeps and the kind of work that Cherie’s “legal” (sic) firm do and the kind of stuff they advocate that really defines them. Real nasty stuff. They are like the British version of the Clinton’s.
  5. Afternoon Eggs, a much as I think Tony Blair and Cherie are the scum of the earth. I think Corbyn is more dangerous for this country, I hate to think where we would be with him at the controls. Wasn’t there a bit of a stink about the voting process that saw him take charge of the Labour Party? Ie people voting twice etc., Which would mean that the Labour Party is able to punch or vote well above their weight. A lot of members of his own party were gutted when he got in.
  6. Don’t laugh... it gets worse.
  7. I thought about moving, but where? https://goo.gl/images/RcQsfQ Out of the reaches of a maniacal, egotistical billionaire. Oh hang on..
  8. Do you really not see that 8 years of Obama’s appeasement and hand wringing have allowed the current situation to develop? At some point you run out of road to keep kicking the can down. Someone has to end up facing it. We should be thankful at least that it’s not Hillary in the White House. Look what happened in Libya. Look at what the Clinton foundation did (or failed to do) in Haiti. Would you really prefer her? Or put it a different way..... if you had to buy a guard dog because you couldn’t trust your neighbours what kind of breed would you be looking at?
  9. Ah! It’s not the fact it’s a chainsaw it’s the very fact it’s a small petrol engine (with the risk of petrol vapours being released) that puts it on the banned list. According to regs there are special provisions but the airline said no and weren’t having any of it.
  10. Im not saying it’s not true. but which media outlet did you get that from? Do they quantify the economic and social benefits for society as a whole? They probably don’t because it doesn’t fit their narrative. Pesticides, agro-chemicals and global food programmes will destroy the planet long before mining and burning fossil fuel will, IMO.
  11. As much as I hate pollution and wrecking the environment, the mainstream media lost what little credibility they had with me when they blamed Trump for last year’s hurricanes. [emoji849] Fair play to him for reviving the coal industry, I grew up in South Wales when the pits were closed. The human cost of those closures and the breakdown of the local economies and communities was catastrophic. It was around the same time that the health authorities implemented the policy of flooding the place with methodone. South Wales has been decimated by drug addiction and the associated social issues ever since. Sadly, something I know a great deal about from personal experience. I think a far greater threat to the world comes from the big Ag- pharma conglomerates and the nasty stuff they get up to. For example.... where have all the bees, butterflies and flying insects gone? I don’t remember cleaning any off my windscreen last summer.
  12. The media paint Trump a certain way and the masses swallow it without thinking or questioning. (Maybe this belongs on the free will or lack of thread!)
  13. He’s shown himself capable of improving the economy and reducing unemployment. Many others have tried and failed. Obama’s only credentials seemed to be the colour of his skin, from what I can make out....
  14. What I find worrying/amusing is that people think that Obama was a good President.... All Trump is doing is trying to take care of the consequences of Obama’s foreign policies. You don’t have to look any further than North Korea and Iran to see his real legacy.
  15. Thanks guys.
  16. I know it’s slightly different but I found that Tabata workouts and circuit training got rid of the (slight) arthritis in my joints. [emoji106]
  17. I did think of that but we already have all the saws we need over here. I tried to get Fedex to ship ours out to Spain but they wouldn’t touch them.
  18. Got a weeks tree work booked in Madrid in a couple of weeks. Tried absolutely everything to arrange taking our own saws over on the plane but there is no way. Even drained and purged of all fuel and oils, the airline is not having any of it. So it’s looking like we will have to hire the saws over there. These are best our people over there can find. (They are better than what we had last year!) Just wondered if anyone has had any experience of hiring saws in Spain? I know they are non existent in The South from when we went last year. Long shot I know. [emoji106]
  19. Classy shots of fabulous trees. You have a real gift for photography Sean. Thanks for taking the time to post them. [emoji106]
  20. Getting done on the inside by a Waberer’s truck too. Says it all!
  21. Utility boys on day rate of course.
  22. Apparently the closest estimate is north of Yemen. Havilah.
  23. It’s still costing people their livelihoods today. Just ask any college professor who holds an intelligent design viewpoint. (Not looking for an argument, just saying, like) [emoji33] Worth a watch if you have the time but a slight derail! (Apologies!)
  24. This is really getting the grey matter a workout. [emoji123]
