  1. Wales is a principality. It is also a country.
  2. The much improved power to weight ratio plus the cleaner emissions caught my attention.
  3. Everything on the sequoia is great and everyone who has them speaks really highly of their comfort and functionality (apart from the buckles that is). The bridge is another thing to watch out for on them. Once they start to get frayed the outer cover disintegrates very quickly. I very nearly got one but defaulted back to the TM.
  4. Sounds like KTM are pursuing it. A separate fuel pump that needs its own lubrication system sounds like a lot of tech for a chainsaw. It’s hard to see how the main manufacturers will be able to mass produce this at an affordable price. If the power gains stated are right then considerably lighter and more powerful saws could be on the horizon. Now that is an an exiting prospect. Nano powerheads and big bars! (Or we could just send our saws to you! [emoji849]) [emoji106]
  5. I see a fair few different types of harness doing LOLER work. The plastic buckles on the sequoia let it down imo. It’s surprisingly easy to twist them apart even when they are quite new. The build quality of the buckles is poor compared to the competition although the likelihood of this happening when you’re in the tree is remote.
  6. Yeah me too! I can sharpen well and flip the bar over once I’ve dressed it but anything past the clutch coming off I’m not so keen. Interesting that the guy in the vid wasn’t so optimistic about the future of 2 strokes.
  7. Here you are nath... This guy explains it quite well. [emoji106]
  8. Amazing. Thanks for posting. Exceptional ‘landscape’

    Ouch.

Looking again at that video. Even before the piece gets snatched, the main stem gets pushed backwards as the piece leaves the cut. I thought I heard the commentator say there were 4.5 wraps on the bollard?
  10. I have a FB account but I’ve never added any friends. (Too much crap from the past to open those doors again) I’m in on a couple of WhatsApp invitation only groups and on here of course, that’s plenty for me. Met some really great people and made some good friends from being on here. [emoji106]

    Ouch.

Interesting. How high do you recon that euc in the Tahune airwalk video was ? I only ask as it looked a lot higher than 100’.
  12. TIMON

    Ouch.

Bingo! Thanks Mark. Doesn’t matter how many times you see that video it’s still incredible, especially when he goes up the “skinny” stem. I’ve got a dead oak to do soon... I’ll make sure I watch that the night before. [emoji106]
  13. TIMON

    Ouch.

Shame. My all time favourite tree vid. Maybe the Chemical Brothers kicked up a fuss about using their tune. (They should be grateful really!)
  14. TIMON

    Ouch.

    Still won’t play though!
  15. TIMON

    Ouch.

Be surprised if he walked away from that.... horrible. That was a big piece to try snatching on a dead tree.
  16. Not really. Was there a big problem with Jewish terrorism back then?
  17. I don’t think that it could be called racist as it’s not discriminating against a race of people. You could argue that it is getting into the territory of eroding religious freedom but then you have to ask the questions such as what is more important... the oppression of women, public security in the light of Islamic terrorism or religious freedom. It is ironic that a woman being compelled to wear one of these ghastly things over her face has anything to do with freedom...
  18. Ok I’ve got 5 mins to spare while the Mrs is in Aldi..,., So, let me get this straight. You don’t need to “waste time” researching subject matter in a meaningful way to be able to dismiss it out of hand and then slate people who have a differing point of view on the subject? It doesn’t surprise me that “historians” like Richard Carrier appeal to you. I welcome rational, intelligent and civilised debate on this subject (perhaps on a different thread, though). but it seems like it’s beyond your capacity so I’ll leave it there as I don’t have the time or the inclination.
  19. Richard Dawkins never had the time or inclination.....really? Hmmm... he has devoted the best part of his life’s work to refuting the claims of the bible. Not wanting to derail this thread away from what is “making the news” Here’s an interesting article from The Guardian, not really known for being a pro-Christian publication and while I don’t believe for one second that this will change your mind, it will at least serve to give the subject a wider perspective. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/world/2017/apr/14/what-is-the-historical-evidence-that-jesus-christ-lived-and-died
  20. I think you will find that almost all serious historians agree that the person known as Jesus Christ actually existed. Even Richard Dawkins accepts this.
  21. Jewish ancestry, believer and follower of Jesus. Jesus was Jewish as well. I don’t believe God is “bothered” What’s confusing about that?
  22. Maybe, but I’ll also watch Al Jazeera Read the Guardian and Independent Etc...
  23. I’m Jewush and take an interest in what is happening in the Middle East.
  24. That’s right. I get to choose. Thankfully I’m not subjected to what the kardashians are doing either.
  25. Looks like Mick Dempsey was right then... the special stuff. [emoji40][emoji30][emoji850] Congrats though! [emoji106]
