  1. It's not just a tipper it's a "twin ram tipper" lol wonder if there worried about over loading out in oz ? I see a programme on Sky the other day and the guys had 3 large croc,s on the back of a cruiser looked a good load but it was how they loaded them on that made me chuckle, they used a chopper !! Probably has a castlemain 4x once job was done
  2. I love them cruisers from down under but check the K,s out some have been round the clock a few times, iv often thought of shipping one back but desided to wait until I move there to get one
  3. I found these body builders on the bay, might be worth a call lightweight Tipper body | eBay
  4. I read it as 5800 for body & box without the hood, you could probley get them down a bit and lose the hood lights etc 5k ish is more realistic 10k tottley over the top
  5. The tool box & tipper body don't seem too bad on price, as there's a lot of alloy needed to make that plus like already said a weeks worth of fab, but the tow bar & led lights seem a bit over priced it's probably a mornings work to fit that lot on, but you would have a nice truck once done, I made my truck body myself and it still adds up in martitals & time, and good trucks are hard to find so next truck I get will probably be a chassis cab then off to a body builder to get a custom made Arb body made and I'm fully expecting a bill for 5K give or take
  6. If you don't have any luck on the roof rack Bob I'll lend you one of my trucks
  7. I buy trucks on face value, it don't matter that's it's 13years old if it's clean & tidy and starts n stops as it should what more can you ask, as for 90bhp yes its underpowered and loaded with chip & towing a chipper it's going to struggle up hills etc but will get the job done
  8. I never know there was any limit on filling cans at petrol stations, just latley iv been filling 7 ( 20 ltr ) cans up on a weekly basis any not had any issues & if I did I'd just go to a diffront station & be more discreet
  9. I know what your saying, once you've had a cruiser not a lot else comes close my 100 was like a Mars Bar I used it for work rest n play I will make the leap to the 200 but for now a Dodge Ram 3500 dually with 5.9 Cummings is filling the gap but a bit too big for every day use lol
  10. Found this on the bay 2011 MITSUBISHI SHOGUN 3.2 DI DC [197] Equippe Auto 7 Seats LOW MILEAGE | eBay
  11. I sold my 100 series Landcruiser Amazon as it was getting on a bit and replaced it with a Disco 3 massive mistake, but at the time 200 series LC was still 40k second hand, there coming down slowly when thay hit low 20,s I'll grab one in the mean time iv gone yank to handle towing etc but getting back to your motor for your money id look for a Nissan Patrol of Shogun steer well clear of D3 RR & the stupid RRS Good luck car shopping
  12. Have you gone to a brakers / salvage yard ?
  13. Iv got a line locker on my 110 cherry picker it's a device that lazy boy racers use to do "burn outs" in RWD motors as thay can't master toe n hill !! Cheep and very effective all you do it put your foot on the brake and peas the button that's it job done until you press button again to release so it's like an electronic hand brake, the boy racers just hook it up to the front but mines hooked up to all 4 So starting it won't work, towing it won't work only way to take it is lift it or cut brake lines but it will definitely slow thieves down
  14. I also use tracked chippers in places where if it broke down I'd be f##ked so if it does happen to me I'll knock up 2 skids out of metal ( like ski,s ) then braise then together with angle iron using nuts n bolts as depending how tracks was set when it broke down use ratchet stap to secure chipper to skids then bolt a winch on front of skids ( if your chipper is not fitted with one ) then use trees, ground anchor, etc to winch it back to a pick up point To get chipper on skids jack one side up at a time using a farm jack and slide skids under This should work nicely and will be easy on the winch and batters I'd use the 1200lbs winch about £250 on eBay with mounting plate and power it of chipper battery 1st then booster pack Good luck
  15. iv had blokes from the electricity board in cherry pickers wave when I'm in my cherry picker but that's about it, the defender seems to be a fashion accessory now days there's even one near me with big alloys skinny tyres seems lowerd with an even worse sticker then "one life live it" it says "kleen freaks" what a wast
  16. Round my parts Arb trucks wave to each other but I've noticed the ol defender wave is fizzling out as there's a new breed of defender drivers now that seem to like there motors clean n polished
  17. Looks like there converted from IFS to solid axel so once that's done a much bigger lift is possible it's also prob got a body lift
  18. Don't worry bob, transit only tows chipper to & from jobs all chip stays on site iv got a nice little TW125 that goes out with transit But seriously a tracked chipper is a lot to ask of a transit
  19. I'm not saying a 90bhp wouldn't do the job it's just a tracked chipper plus plant trailer is a heavy load & combined that with a truck load of chip and it's a lot to ask of the truck,
  20. Transits are cheep to buy & run there a lot of truck for the money, Isuzu as pointed out already are very nice but dear to buy & run at the end of the day it's all down to how much your spending One thing I would say that if your towing a tracked chipper you need to get a powerfull truck to handle it, my transit is 145 BHP and pulls but my mates transit is a 90 BHP and it's depressing slow & struggles
  21. Looks good, I like the one piece sides looks better then add on,s
  22. So I can tip off in to skips, one of the jobs I do the wast needs to go back the client,s yard and put in skips and there's no way We're going to shovel of s tipper it's just too much unessary work at the end of the day Also be nice to tip in neat piles at my yard with out spending chip 20ft across yard The truck will be same as most tippers about 2600kg give or take
  23. Will do !! Iv got the log grab already just searching for the right Hiab to suit the truck & yes it's a 6 tonner so no worry about over loading, also will be fitting winch,s back & front
  24. I'm only using the sissor gear I'll be mounting an alloy body on top of the frame the body is getting cut off and scrapped, But as it happens the whole thing is not that heavy as I lifted it with a cherry picker !!
  25. It will only be the waight of the 2nd ram and a small bit of extra box section so 50kg max more then standard tipper body
