    Smokers.

Never smoked never will, Smoking is so anti social now, but these e-cig things are taken over now so to me it looks like your just swapping from bad habit to anther !! I know these e-cig things are cheeper, as fags are way over £10 a pack now but surly it's better to just "give up"
  2. What a lovely truck, I had an iveco daily 35 recovery truck ( 19ft bed ) and I picked my landrover 110 cherry picker up with it witch must be a good 3 tonne the iveco never looked over loaded & didn't struggle on lac of power eather, I know it's not right but it you can see why people go for dailys
  3. The yard I used was exporters and they didn't seem worried about the state I left the truck in, still £100 for that lot don't seen bad mate, Good luck with your build
  4. The best thing to do is put a new sump on it & sell it on mate, it's a shame you've had such bad luck as toyota,s are normley so good
  5. Local lorry scarp yard bud, nip along with your tape measure and resip saw last time I brought some side I cut out of a truck side the guy charged me £40
  6. Martin at Lovedown Farm Lower Rd Hockley Essex SS5 area I think he charges £20 a load, it's about 20 min drive from Canvey Island not ideal I know
  7. It's too late now, but I would of said just undo it spray with carb cleaner replace seal buy slipping it over sump, smear with silicon then tighten up evenly mate, taken the engine out is a lot of work I'd of done anything to avoid that but good luck with truck hope you get it sorted and some new mates too lol
  8. How about a landrover tipper it's a good compromise as it's got a transit size tipper body on a 4x4 chassis ?
  9. I come off my ktm enduro bike 3 years ago & broke both legs, once I got to hospital the staff cut my motocross boots off with out much effort they used a pair of angled sissor type tool, so cutting tro a harness shouldn't be to much of a problem but I bet the chainsaw bottoms was a challange !!
  10. Tree Surgeon falls 25ft from a tree on channel 4 at 21:00 tonight
  11. Found one on OZ eBay in QLD same sort of age and it's £7200 before shipping and import tax etc, so the one on eBay is not a bad price
  12. Sounds good, what sort of year truck would 15K buy ?
  13. Its a toyota you won't need any spare parts lol
  14. My king quad has a diff as it's got Independent suspension on the rear same as the bigger yamaha grizzly,s not sure about other jap quads like honda foremans etc
  15. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=281489288460 Nice Bull Bar, could make a very nice truck, how much is a nice 1995 defender ? The miles would not put me off, & there not that cheep to buy in aus plus shipping etc it's not priced too bad
  16. I'm with you on the trailer bud I also run an ifor its a 3.5 tonne trailer & is only 800 kg (ish) so had a 2.7 tonne (ish) payload "but" ant we ment to run a tacho now for trailers ? I'm not 100% up on this and in my transit I'm got a taco factory fitted on the dash is that ment for towing ?
  17. Iv got a 2005 suzuki king quad 700cc auto with diff lock,s Independent suspension back. & front tow bar back & front with a winch fitted, It's one hell of quad only give 2k for 2 years ago it's got a big fuel tank and pulled an ifor williams with a 3 tonne on it with out a problem, my boy takes it over the local 4x4 club and does well on it, if I was looking for a 2nd quad I'd be looking for anther king quad
  18. Iveco dailys are made as a 5 tonne then down or up rated so can handle punishing work Most transits are used by builders, scrap, roofers, etc and all are over waight most of the time it's not right but it's the real world, I fill my transit up she's probley a tonne over but drives & tip,s ok the reason my works all local and the chances of getting a tug are very slim there's a few vosa hot spots near me but like every body else I avoid them when loaded As all iv done is what the OP is going to do "make his truck look right when loaded" so ether fit H/D springs or an air bag kit job done. !!
  19. What I ment was there's not much point having a 4.3T transit as you might as well just an iveco daily 45 55 65 etc the OP was asking about tuf springs for his 3.5T transit of a bigger transit and Old Mill didn't know there was bigger transits then 3.5T
  20. I think the payload is about 1.8 tonne but you'd need a taco so might as well just get iveco daily 65C I work on the railway and 6 of us got in the transit crew cab tipper with nothing on the back and set the scale alarm off as the. 6 of us put the front axel over waight
  21. Yes the transit T430 normally the 17 seater mini bus but there's a few trucks out there and some of them are fitted with a 200 hp 5 pot diesel !!
  22. I see a pick with the normal body converted to a tipper with a truckman top fitted, they was aiming chippings in the back and they had built a false floor with a draw system that pulled out about 4ft and was just high enuff to store saws etc good set up & looked nice
  23. The biggest transit is 4.3 tonne and the springs from fords will be super dear, just buy the truck and then take it too a spring firm to get it beefed up or just lower the bump stops A quick serch on line will show you who's your nearst firm or buy the kit from eBay & fit your self anther option is fit air bags like most 3.5T motorhomes & recovery trucks use the whole kits about £300 ish
  24. Both transtit connect & vauxhall combo both good vans and both good on diesel, I'd go for the connect out of the two due to combo looking a little bit dated now, If you could get away with a smaller van the astras have come down a lot on price now and really nice to drive and also fiesta and pug 207,s are nice little vans
  25. I'd put 4 new ones on rear and the best 2 from the old ones on the front, also get some valve exstenions so you can check tyre pressures easy
