  1. You,ll defo need a d/c & iv just check our kids seats the maxi cosy recline & swivel seats, when the baby's fall asleep they recline hence need that bit more room but also with bigger kids there feet will hit back of front seats No problems in crew cab transits bags of room
  2. Only xtra cab pick up iv seen with any usable space was a yank, our trucks are too small and kids seats take up a lot of room,
  3. Your never going to get kids seats in the back of any xtra / space cab pick up, all there good for is bit of storage for kit n saws and more room for driver & passinger to recline seats back Even the double cabs ant no good unless you like getting kicked all the time as the baby's seats touch the backs of front seats
  4. The landcruiser was only doing 11 / 12 mpg, we borrowed the mother in laws disco 3 wile she was on holiday and on a tank to tank ltr - miles I drove it returned 30 ish mpg combined driving But even 25 mpg is better then 11 lol Just afther it sold The landcruiser I found out about the vapour coo, but I can't see the ol,woman driving about with a jerry can under the bonnet she was bad enuff with LPG
  5. The husky is a big heavy duty worm drive winch The tiger shark is just a run of the min low line winch Don't think there's much between them on pulling power but the husky will work all day the low lines are more light use for recovery trucks or rear winch on 4x4s etc
  6. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=221583484206 4x4 merc sprinter tipper 3.5 tonne on eBay
  7. A guy I know is running an old petrol ford searra on vapor, he showed me some vids on YouTube and it's manly rednecks running V8 pick ups but they claim there getting 200-300 mpg !! He got his motor up n running in an hour but his now doing a better install Iv seen this running it works so I'm going to give it a go on my transit tipper as it's petrol I use a transit connect to nip about in & for quoting etc the transit. & defender only come out to work so pay there way Iv just sold my landcruiser 4.7 V8 on LPG as the ol,woman was doing too much millage and would not away put LPG in as the station is out of her way it was only doing 150 miles on £45 local 200 miles on a run so iv replaced it with a disco 3 diesel and hoping she will avarge 30 mpg

  9. Just make sure you don't winch over any rocks or ruff ground as it will wear it out quicker but saying that you can splice them back togeather again no problem, Iv been useing them for a few years now on my off roaders and they take a lot more abouse them you'd think I'd never use a wire cable again now
  10. People trying to pass off a snide quad as a honda becouse it's got a honda look-a-like engine is one thing, this guys in a diffront league lol
  11. What one like this !! http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=181560253159
  12. Iv pulled a 40ft trailer behind a cat telehandler full of hay, the cat isn't very powerfull and really struggles up hills ( walking speed )

  14. You've got to love the cage/working platform on the blue cherry picker it's got me thinking lol, with a landrover there's so many things you can do with them to suit your needs
  15. Hi it's an 10m the tyres I had fitted at my yard my KK MOBILE £600 for a set of 5 the 110 can drive across wet fields without any spinning, I'm fitting a winch up front but going for 12v as there cheep to buy and easy to fit I did think about hydro but then iv got no drive when useing it as the pto on my 110 needs the transfer box in neutral
  16. More pics

  19. Last year a 110 cherry picker come up cheep so brought and started using straght away but she looked a bit tired, and was very slow on the rd was a real struggle to get over. 30mph so in went a 200tdi new clutch, cam belt, rad, fan, oil & filters, and power steering, what a diffrance Then a set off insa turbo spiecal track tyres new nas style lights winch bumper and a full repaint, it's nearly finished now just last few bits left to do is remake the cage that protects the cab, a few beacons & spot lights on cage & some nice 3M chevrons I'll try to upload some pics of progress so far
  20. That's not greedy and if it's aussie made & shipped from down under how can uk body builders warrent stupid prices off £3500 !!
  21. A tipper body from any transit LDV or cabstar then cut to size and bolt it on might need to fab up a few brackets & buy a length of box section etc , should be all sorted for £500ish including converting body to high sides
  22. That body's had it, take it off & phone around your local breakers or eBay etc to get a 2nd hand one (£400 ish) then drive there in the chassis cab and slide new one on job done
  23. Iv seen a few crew cab transits with the rear doors removed & replaced with roller shutters ( looks professional ) id leave a bit of room behind front seats to hang coats ppe etc then box back off and just have 3 shelf,s and use plastic storage crates for kit tools petrol etc, Good luck
  24. When I move down under ill get 70 series cruisers as I love the no nonsonce no frills no agg truck, I wouldn't have one here as the price,s are stupid !! I like the truck working for me not me working for the truck The 70 series is ment to be the tuff truck from new but most ozzie,s buy them and take them straght to arb,s to have lockers n bars fitted etc pound for pound if you really need a 4x4 pick up its got to be defender there's a truck for every ones budget from £2000 upwards
  25. As long as you hold the ticket it don't matter if you have a year a week or a day the rate is the rate The railway firms often struggle to find staff with certs so the holder has the advantage, the days of the 1 day in house chainsaw ticket are long gone
