    Argocat

There's a guy who comes over the off road club in one, it gets about ok it's pritty noisy and slow, the tyres don't look very grippy but you can get tracks for them, Iv got some 4x4 quads that get places the Argocat can't as there very low to the ground and ridged Like said the already the drive chains n spockets take a beating so have a good look at them Good Luck, hope it's works out for you
  2. Glad it all worked out for you bud and every things cool
  3. thats a real s**t situation bud, it's too late to say don't borrow kit etc, I'd nip round there say sorry look at the bar to see if it is the bar "witch I doubt" long bars have got flex and if the bars fine tell him you'll get him a new chain and hopefully all will cool, Best of luck

There was 15 telegraph poles on a 24ft container trailer no really heavy but as it had a fair bit of length on it I thought it was worth posting

    Overloaded

Not the heaviest load but a challaging one
  8. One of my boys off roading
  9. Suzuki SJ,s are a lot better off road then you'd think my sons have an SJ it's got a set of 31" insa turbo tyres RockLobster transfer box and a winch and will go where heavy modded landrovers go and further and when it does finally get stuck it's super easy to recover as it only weighs 1 tonne ish
  10. I "a frame" my kids Suzuki SJ up down the motor ways past police etc and not had any issues no one really takes any notice, Regarding towing they better then a trailer the follow really nice
  11. Maybe a top handle for Incredible Hulk, good find not seen one for 20 odd years
  12. There's always some one who lives up these lanes who can't help but poke there nose in, I live in a lane like this and when I was digging a trench to lay my water pipes I had a guy stop my blokes, I could tell straight away there was no reasoning with him and all the talking in the world would not help so jus told him to f**k off, we get on now so all,s good Best bet is to just get on with it and save wasting time
  13. you can buy one of these..... LAND ROVER Defender Bonnet Spare Wheel Mount Defender 200/300 TDI and TD5 | eBay Or just knock something up in the workshop ????
  14. Just bolt a spare wheel carrier on job done, makes bonnet heavy and restrict vision a bit but soon get used to it
  15. Iv still got one and keep it as a back up, good chipper strong and simple, I was shocked how easy it rolled over, clip a curb or mini roundabout and its over, Iv converted mine to a twin axel now and the axels stick out the side now so really stable and easy to move about and hitch up etc and easy to reverse becouse you can see the mud guards in your mirrors
  16. Just trying to help no WOW at all, drive shafts at over 2 large !! You can think out side the box and save money
  17. Iv been in to off roading 4x4 for 20 odd years and converted just about every 4x4 going there's nothing that can't be done in my workshop, I'd take complete front end off then cart Spring it and put my choice of axel in ( lose the IFS ) no drama, axel wise iv taken them to bits cut flipped re-welded them for 4x4x4 or rear steer, never bothered with SVA and not really to botherd about it but that's me As Bobs just pointed out they can be repaired any way as I thought they could, Not every one has the skills or knows some one that can do this type of stuff but there's always more then one option
  18. That seems a bit strong, I'd put a different axel,s on the truck like unimog portals that can be brought for a grand a set
  19. Iv got one I brought it from Bob, I love it and it goes tro the brown stuff fully loaded no worries, there's no problem getting parts there's an Iveco shop in Ruislip that gets parts no problem, new diff lock cable £68 didn't think that was bad I'm using mine as back up truck and for jobs off the beaten track but it's very easy to drive ( just Iveco daily but 4x4 ) not juicey to run as its 2WD on road Best of luck
  20. Defo TFR i spray the whole truck, chipper, van, etc with one of them pump up sprayers about a 50/50 mix leve 5 mins then just steam clean it off, works a treat and no scrubbing or hard work involved and motor comes up like new
  21. There probably doing community service
  22. Chipper in action ( embankment looks worse then it is very greasy )
  23. I knocked a winch mount up out of plate & 4" box section and mounted this little winch on the shoot coupling to help the chipper along embankments it's super easy to take on n off and no tools needed cost £125 off the bay and saved the day on many occasions
  24. We call them ECO PILES on London Underground, same as already said we chip as much as poss and Eco the the rest, last job we had apron 20 tonne of hard wood we had to move off the embankment and dumped it next to an acsess gate but left it on site as it would cost to much to move it
