  1. All you haters are wrong! Mine can munch up to capacity all day and it's no probs, I was chipping conny all day for 2 days last week, never blocked or missed a beat. It's down to how you look after them, I put fresh blades on before this job and it flew through stuff, they then will be changed and everything checked, lube up and ready for the next job. IMO Timberwolfs are great. I looked at GM, they didn't do a tracked machine that would fit through the gaps my 150 VTR will so that's no good for me. Say what you want but in my world your wrong. Bring on the abuse!!!!!:):)LoL.
  2. What are the legal colours and sizes for hazzard warning stickers on a van for working on highways please?

  6. Here's my new use for chipper hopper. Tracked Boom Box!!!!!
  7. Yes I suppose its like a whirlwind, starts small and grows and destroys its self to then start again. More people need to get into burning softwood on wood burners, even on open fires like the old days, fire guard and a hearth rug were made for that:)
  8. With the recent rise in gas and electric more and more people are getting wood burners, I know this for a fact as I sell logs to a stove showroom and they are getting more and more sales of burners every week. The fuel has got to come from somewhere. Hard wood is harder to get and the pice keeps rising, more people are using softwood but expect it to be cheaper even though at roadside it is a bit cheaper there is still as much work to process it. More and more people are selling logs and there seems to be a trend round my way of being cheap, but I really don't see the point in that as its a lot of work for not much return. Logs should be £100 a cube minimum to make a good living if buying in cord. The wear and tear on equipment and spiralling fuel costs mean that we need to increase costs to keep up with the demand. So where does this take us? People burning anything, people taking wood from woods without permission/skills, stealing wood etc. what happens next??
  9. Tidy job, they are our cash cow, who says money don't grow on trees.
  10. So true. Maybe leave the mobile at home!
  11. This one has me, I have no book with me and really would like to know?
  12. I see what you mean, cheers J.
  13. Fair enough but that mill of yours had to be paid for, and new bands etc so to say you only need to cover your time and fuel seems odd? What about the kiln and other overheads mate? If you have a nice lump of oak what woul the costings be to turn it into dry planks easy to sell? I'm not having a go I'm just interested to know:)
  14. You should have EL, you can get it that covers Sub contractors and labour only contractors. They should have Pl as well as you. Give Cameron a call at Trust Insurance 01604 492644.

  20. Yeah, you gotta start somewhere. If you you get sharp teeth then your sorted. My RG13 had multi tip teeth on and was awesome.
  21. Helly Hansen for me too, there brill!
  22. I had an RG 13 for 3 years and it was a cracking machine, I just couldn't face pushing it around anymore, pushing it onto a trailer, trying to push it on a slope then grinding stumps that are a good size really wore you out and if you have a few to do then it was really hard. That's why I invested in a better machine, big stumps are easy and small stumps are really easy, thus less fatigue and more money earned. Depending on budget it, I would say that long term you are better investing in a machine that you will have for years and that will earn you good money.
  23. Get a bandit HB 20 and it will only take 20 mins.
  24. I have an 81r and that's a cracking hedge cutter, not to heavy and gives a nice finish.
  25. Sorry, thought you were near. Only trying to help.
