  1. Just had a call out, large Mac had lost its top! Pretty big tree, it will wait till the new year though.
  2. I won't employ again, I use sub contractors now, they work hard and get paid in return and they know that when the jobs done they can go, there always on time, have their own kit and it all works and is looked after.
  3. Over the years I have employed a few staff, used countless freelancers. I take the current ones out at Christmas and buy us a pint here or there or a bacon roll. I found that being too nice to staff can come back and bite you. One lad had been with me for 2 years, I trained him up and he got his tickets through a grant scheme. He came back from his climbing assessment and insisted he now should be on a £100 a day! He had no kit and very little experience and was my employee! One day after the job I was doing some logs and he told me he was off home now unless I paid him extra for doing the logs??, another lad did a landscaping job for me, I would tell him what had to be done and left him to it, when the job was done he was a day over what I had priced for and told me various reasons which seemed reasonable. When I spoke to the customer they get a list out of all the mobile phone time he had been doing whilst on the job, there was 4 hours!! Remember the old saying: Familiarity breeds contempt!
  4. If anyone turned up half hour late for me and it wasn't a genuine reason they would be gone. If your working for me you turn up when asked and go home when told.
  5. Should be more like you, I had a lad once who demanded to be paid for every second he was doing anything for work, I said ok we will knock your fag time off and your mobile phone time and see where we get. He didn't last long.
  6. That's cool. I have an HB 20 but if I had to go bigger i would get a 2550. How do you do time lapse?
  7. Ahh well, its Christmas I will leave it mate, they need it more than me. I will just by some more tickets:)
  8. Yes but I did one for £20 before that? I never got tickets from that?? I think I have just donated that instead of buying tickets.
  9. I followed that and made a donation?? That has not sent me any raffle numbers??
  10. I can't see where to buy tickets? I made a £20 donation but it didn't ask for my username? How do I get the numbers?
  11. Looks the bizz, you had any problems with the 560? I did, loads but when it worked it was a great saw. I hope that in time husky will sort the problems and I will get another.

  16. Yes, I may have found one now.
  17. What supermarket won't accept cash? I have had people ask if its any cheaper for cash and the answer is no sorry. If I give them a price and if they ask is it cheaper for cash I say that is the cash price if you want to pay by cheque the add 20% and if you want 30 days to pay then add 20%.
  18. Cheers, looks a nice truck.
