  1. There is a guy up your way called Dave Blakie but don't have his number, too guy though.
  2. I know, my 560 was awesome hen it worked, but it conked out a lot, then things broke like the pull cord assembly and chainbrake, then wouldn't start hen hot or if it had been sat. Too much hassle so I sold it. Love my 346/372/576/395 though!!
  3. Not sure but apparently it in the pipeline, my dealer was saying that they are in the process of doing it because of all the trouble they have had with the 550/60.
  4. Why they stopped making the 346xp is beyond me, it is a cracking saw, better than that auto tune shite there churning out. I had a 560 for a year, nothing but trouble, went back to husky twice, utter crap. Keep the 346 alive until husky bring out the niggle free 550/60.
  5. Airstreams. I'm on my 3rd pair, love em.
  6. I'll stick with Airstreams thanks.
  7. I know where you are coming from, when I left school and was an apprentice I got the pee taken and banter etc, I enjoyed it and it made you feel part of the crew, when the new apprentice came the following year I was one of the lads and we gave him sh8t. Nowadays it's seen as bullying but really bulling is far worse, I was bullied at school and banter is no where near bullying. Kids now have no idea, they are Molly coddled and the teachers can give em a clip round the ear when they need it. That's why the country is in the state it is. The guy needs to man up.
  8. Yes but all depends on cost, there has to be "enough fat on the bone to make a profit".
  9. Sorry, how much extra would that be? How much to grind and dig? PM me if to don't want to put a price on the forum. Thanks.
  10. Out of intrest when you say priced to dig
  11. I've just paid £48 a tonne for mixed hardwood that's been down 12 months!! Nice stuff. That's with bloody VAT too.
  12. I wouldn't charge more to cut next to lines if powers off, I would charge on what the job is regardless of wires as if there of there ain't an issue.
  13. The power should be off if cuttin next to lines. You should not be cutting next to live lines.
  14. Not sure but I had 5 trailers my self and sold 2, so £300 quid on top of the job price and saved me time running back to my yard.
  15. I have a nice standard of living, own my own gear apart from a bit of finance on my new stump grinder. Good wage.
  16. Fresh maple in lengths and discs in my ifor 10x5 mesh sides full to the top. I got £150 per trailer for that.
  17. Ic just booked some and its £560 for up to a week with cones, signs and set up and take down. Thanks.

    poplar

    Bryant and may love it;)
  20. Where did you get the keen young lads from? I could do with 1 of them:)
  21. So in laymans terms the water has sat there and rotted the heart wood away??
  22. What causes this? At the top of the hollow trunk there was a cavity where it looks like a bow has ripped off along time ago, would water filling the cavity and sitting there cause it? It's right down into the centre of the root plate too.
  23. I will take a work call whenever, works work, I know we need time off etc but best not turn it away, and if some person calls at daft o'clock then add a couple of hundred on the quote lol. I had a customer ring me on a Friday night about half 8 demanding I come and sort a fallen branch, when I said I couldn't he asked why? I told him I was in Penrith and was 5 Stella's in! He said tomorrow would be ok!
